WOO March 5th is my birthday!!!
It’s also the day of my physics exam, but I’m trying not to think about that.
It’s also the 44th anniversary of the Boston Massacre.
I’m exhausted.

I follow someone on Instagram that works at David’s Tea and just sampled some of the new spring teas. Some of them are “Peaches and Cream”, “Blue Lagoon” (apparently it tastes like blue whales candy, but I have no idea what that is..), and “Cool Cucumber” (it’s minty and refreshing).

All of those sound MEH to me. Can’t wait to see the new mugs and whatnot.

I am no longer excited about the cucumber black. Mint? Really? Wanna bet it also has coconut? :)

I know. I was so thrilled about it, but mint… kills it for me. I’ll look into it, but… bummer.

Blue Lagoon?! They totally used my idea for a tea!!!!!!!!! I told them if they made a tea that “tasted like blue”, I would buy them clean out. Looks like I’m going to have to follow through. heh.

I also made a desperate plea a few months ago for a peach tea. And I mean PEACH TEA. Not a tea with a hint of peach, like their Green and Fruity. GIVE ME PEACHES RIPE OFF THE TREE. Peaches and Cream? Sign me up. The others? I’ll give them a try, for sure. Don’t know how keen on them I’ll be.

If you want a peach tea, try Adagio’s Peach Oolong. It’s well priced, and it’s so good and peachy.

I’m excited about the cucumber one, but less excited if it’s really minty. The blue tea sounds interesting. I may have to make a trip.

I’m excited to see so many DAVIDsTEA fans in here! The company I work for, Snapguide, just launched a contest yesterday where we are giving away $850 in DAVIDsTEA products. Make a how-to guide on the creative ways you use tea for a chance to win!

http://snapguide.com/contest/think-outside-the-mug/

I stumbled on that yesterday. What a prize package! I would love a chance at winning, but need to put my creative thinker on!

Awesome! I look forward to seeing your guide :).

Paul you should make a separate post about that, might help spread the word:)

I’m pretty excited for it! So ready for spring. Someone on Facebook got 2 of them with an order as samples so they are obviously ready to go.

I just received an order in the mail from Davids, and it included a brochure:

MEET OUR SPRING TEAS

Pom Tango (Black) Bursting with pomegranate seeds and big pieces of mango, this black tea blend is like a cross between your favorite breakfast tea and the best juice ever. Kosher

Blue Lagoon (Herbal) This exotic blend combines juicy pineapple and fruity blueberries with a tangy base of lemongrass. Take a sip and sail away…

Grape Expectations (Green) With fresh sencha green tea, sweet raisins and ripe, tangy grapes, this sophisticated, fruity blend is a classic in the making.

Cool Cucumber (Black) Some things are just undeniably cool. And this deliciously refreshing black tea with cucumber slices is one of them.

Peaches & Cream (Herbal) With big pieces, apple and vanilla, this fruit-packed blend tastes just like fresh peaches with vanilla-scented cream.

And the new teaware looks like it has a nautical theme. There is a nordic mug with tentacles, a stout teapot & matching cups with starfish, and a shell-like pattern on another teapot.

OMG TENTACLES. makes sounds only dogs can hear

Umm..

/squeals along with OMGsrsly/ ….ummm, yeah. XD Though I’m more excited for the overall theme since it means blue/sea colors (which is what I was keeping my fingers crossed for). Oh man. So excited!! XD;

This collection looks right up my alley! I’m really excited about all of them except for Cool Cucumber, but let’s be real, I’m still going to try it. Also… starfish tea pot!!!

OMG. YES. Tentacles. I am with you all!!! My boyfriend absolutely loves octopus(s?), his favorite animal! And his halloween mug just broke from the cat a few months ago…yess I can finally replace it for him :D

And I love ocean themed things. And the teas sound good. SUPER. PUMPED.

TeaLady441 said

OMG. Is there any way you can take a picture of the teaware? I want to see these tentacles too!

Sorry for the poor quality. Took pictures with my phone:

OMGsrsly said

That is PERFECT, thank you! I’m hoping the inside of the tentacle mug is orange but I’ll accept red. :D

Aww rats. Here I was hoping for a blue mug with the designs kinda like how the tumbler looks. The mug still looks awesome though why red for the inside I’m not sure. Lol.
Ah well, fingers crossed that there’s more going to be released.

TeaLady441 said

Thank you so much!
I am going to have to grab that mug for sure. It’s awesome.
And I"ll probably try all the new teas again. Too bad the Spring Collection pack will probably be more expensive than 25g of each tea individually. I always feel like I’m being annoying when I ask them to basically make me a Spring Collection instead of buying the box, but that’s what they get for charging so much.

Fjellrev said

Thanks so much, Charlotte! I’m freaking out over the tentacles too, although I really don’t need yet another Nordic mug.

I’m sad that the coconut oolong hasn’t returned, though. Boo-urns.

Kamyria said

I share the sentiment for coconut oolong. It was so delicious, I was really hoping it would come back.

OMG the starfish teapot is super cute. I also like the shell one. I will have to take a look at them in person, I prefer the more matte finish on things that davids offers so hopefully one won’t be super shiny.

emmy said

That starfish teapot is everything I hoped for! I’m probably just going to walk into the store and say “Shut up and take my money!”

Was at dT today, and they said they’re getting tnew colours of timolinos—a royal blue, and a lime green! I already have like five, but I don’t care. I want a lime green one right now!!

Ohh, can’t wait to see wich I like the best ! I need a big timolino :D.

TeaLady441 said

Oh, I really didn’t need to know that…. I have 2, and really really don’t need more unless I’m going to start brewing 3 teas up at a time…

Oh god I know. I don’t care though. Or rather, I can’t even bring myself to start trying to care. Lime green? lime green? aaaahhhh!
I wonder how true to lime green it is. Because i’ll be heartbroken if it’s like, puke green instead.

I was in the store today and I’m almost positive that they said coconut oolong was coming back as perhaps the April tea of the month. I hope I’m remembering correctly…I know April is definitely one that is coming back, I think they said coconut oolong.

OMGsrsly said

Ooo, that would be nice. I found it was a tea that needed to be kept fresh/purchased in quickly drinkable amounts.

(Personally hoping it was Coconut Grove…)

Ubacat said

That sounds like one I would like. I’ll have to keep a look out in April.

Lynxiebrat said

I think Coconut Grove will come back this summer, seemed to be pretty popular as an iced tea. I liked it ok but I craved Pink Passionfruit like crazy!

Kamyria said

Oh, how awesome! I really hope it’s true… I love coconut oolong!
