I went through a big green tea phase a while ago and went through several boxes of this blend. I don’t generally enjoy drinking green tea these days, but this is still one of my favourites when I do drink it. Nice mellow blend without the overwhelming rice taste that many green teas have.
K Cup version
I like the K Cup version better than the bag.
It’s really intense…bold…robust! Leaves a bit of an aftertaste but a nice tea offering for K Cups if you are up for a very sturdy tea.
I’m not saying I LOVE it but it is better than the bagged version.
higher 70s rating for K-Cup version.
I just bought this in teabags for my husband (who likes black tea but doesn’t care whether it comes from a box or not). I saw the k-cups, but they are so expensive in comparison to the boxed tea bags. Now I am wondering if it’s worth getting the k- cups.
I just adore Passion tea by Tazo. It’s so good, hot or cold, I just love the flavor, not like juice, and makes you pucker just a little. It’s flowery with a little tartness, just enough bite to surprise you and keep you coming back for more. And the color is beautiful!
This was the very last teabag that the cafe at my school had left. They won’t order any more until after break (as if tea goes bad in a month…). I steeped it too long, as always, and ended up with a concentrated overload of tartness. But I can imagine it would be more delicious steeped for a shorter time. Will have to try that next time.
Pretty average in every way but a nice evening tea
Haha, I didn’t notice till yesterday when I saw all your tazo! Do you resteep cause that’s like what 14 cups if you do!??!
Yeah, yeah, it’s sooo sugary-sweet and probably has a gazillion calories, but right now it’s warming up my insides quite well in the place of a (now broken) furnace.
The boyfriend and I are getting a new one installed on Friday, hopefully. Until then I’m just going to huddle as close to the portable electric heater as I can without burning myself. ;)
Tasting: This was much better than the Bigelow teas I’ve been drinking once in a great while for years. I have a cold right now though, and am taking it with a fair bit of honey. I might have to take it straight up when I feel better to see if the bitterness is a problem and if my cold / the honey is clouding up my taste.
Cost: $3.16/oz at local grocery store (1.5 oz/20 Bag box)
Preparation
Taken with sugar.
Light flavor profile with the white tea being followed by a blue berry after taste. The is a floral current running through out that adds depth but there is also a slightly medicinal quality lurking in there some where. It’s very faint though. Just enough to make me keep thinking about the fact that it’s there but it’s not strong enough for me to figure out what’s causing it.
It might be an after effect of the blueberry flavoring…
Anyways…
I’m not throwing it out but I’m not buying it again either.
meh
Preparation
Taken out of the bottle…
How is black tea the first ingredient in this bottle? You can barely taste it… it’s there down at the bottom past the kitchen sink and everything else that isn’t tea…
Is the tea good? I don’t know… I can’t tell. I wanted caffeine. I chose poorly.
This is not going to wake me up at all.
And unfortunately I can’t hate it cause it’s absolutely DELICIOUS. It’s not tea though… it’s like fruit dipped in tea and then gnawed on.
It’s really good though.
But I’m going to fall asleep.
Preparation
Seems, I can’t edit comments. Well I clicked on the link after I commented and I noticed it was a small bottle. So ignore the previous comment. I didn’t know they made little glass bottles. I’ll have to be on the look out for it.
my sister made me a cup of this earlier today and i must have dome something wrong the first time i did it for myself because this time i could see what all the buzz over this is about :) it was really good!!
im upping my slider bar on this one :)
Preparation
found this little bag sitting in our work tea bag stash, and because my sister is bonkers for it i decided to finally try it. it starts off bitter but finishes nice and sweet, i can see myself stealing a bag or two from her when i visit but other than that i dont think id buy it for myself. not to be a tea snob but i am a bit turned off by it because it is bagged. i dont really get the feel of it being holiday inspired, to me it tastes like an everyday tea but i feel that it may be because i have an uneducated pallet.
I wouldn’t expect it from Tazo, but this was a pretty good rooibos. Vanilla was nice, and the portions in the bag are huge. It makes it nice and strong.
For a serving suggestion, get a bunch of these from a friend who works at Starbucks (they throw these bags out if they’re not used, so ask them to save them for you) and use the bags as a blend to any of your usual teas. It really helps make bitter – but essential – teas go down without too much sweetener.
Preparation
I don’t know where Tazo is getting this black tea from, but it’s awful. Super bitter, not malty and just an overall bad experience. The taste reminded me of how sewage smells.
Even my generic grocery store brand of black teas is in a better position than this. Seriously. Avoid this like the plague, or at least mix it with another, more robust tea. Blech.
