172 Tasting Notes
I’ve reviewed this before, 5 years ago, but wanted to update again. Numi has since revamped the packaging of this tea, but I’m thrilled to report that the taste is better than ever. Each sip fills me with such peace and calm that I find myself instantly relaxed.
Flavors: Floral, Rose
So, I may be a little obsessed with this.
First, the rich blue color is gorgeous and so unique. I mean, how often do you see blue teas?!
Second, the flavor is superb. I’m not quite sure how to describe it other than “floral”, much in the same way that rose tea has that quality, although I’d say this one is less so than the rose (but be careful about not using too much or else it does get overpowering). It was somewhat of an acquired taste initially, but after the first cup I was hooked.
Third, apparently butterfly pea flowers are packed with antioxidants and other healthy substances. I’m no expert on this but hey, knowing it’s good for you makes it even better.
In conclusion, I love love LOVE this tea!
Flavors: Floral
I like that it’s a bit on the weaker side, seems to me this allows for the individual flavors to be more prominent. Overall this tea isn’t anything to write home about but does make for a nice pick-me-up in the morning.
Flavors: Herbal, Lemon
Well, the Brewers better win tonight because my fragile little heart can’t take it if we get eliminated at this point. So I wanted something calming and comforting, and this tea fits the bill. Smells super sweet but tastes pleasant and warm. I’m usually not a fan of all things honey, but the notes in this tea are subtle and tantalizing.
C’mon team, DO SOMETHING!
Flavors: Chamomile, Honey, Licorice, Vanilla
I think as far as lemony green teas go, this one is slightly below average. While the aroma of the lemon is present, it’s often hard to pinpoint. The tea itself lacks a certain boldness that I enjoy and ultimately ends up tasting like slightly lemony hot water.
Flavors: Lemon
I love rose in tea!
This is an oldie but goodie. I remember even buying a 1lb bag back in the day. Will have to try this tea again someday.
