165 Tasting Notes
I got this one as a tea to go the other day. It’s been on my hit list for a while now and I’m so glad I tried it because it was absolutely delicious! To compare it to another tea from David’s I think it is very similar to Prairie Berry however, I do find it to be a bit more sour. I would highly recommend this tea!
I had to quickly run into the mall today and couldn’t resist going into David’s tea (after all who ever can!?). I had a sample of this tea iced and loved it so much I walked out with a cup. I don’t know if I would like this one as much warm but I will definitely pick this one up to have over the summer. I had a bit of agave in mine but I didn’t find it to be too sweet. I found it to have great flavours! It had a nice balance between tartness and sweetness which was really refreshing…I will definitely be stocking up on this :)
I just bought some of this tea today after hearing several positive things about it. I am just trying my first cup of this now…WOW! That’s a lot of cinnamon! It’s like drinking the “cinnamon challenge” in a cup… It’s good that I like cinnamon although I do have to say it is slightly overwhelming and results in a one dimensional flavour profile. For a rooibos, this is not at all woody which is always a plus in my books. I will absolutely finish the pack however I cannot see myself rushing out to buy more. I give this tea a 77/100
I had this one as a cup to go today. I had heard a lot of good things about it and am very pleased to say that I agree with all of them. It has a nice spice however, it is not at all overpowering. I will absolutely pick up more of this one (probably a 100g tin)and will be pleased to add this to my own personal collection!
This was the last tea that I tried in the summer collection and I was not excited to try it as I had not at all enjoyed coconut oolong. I decided to compare the smell of both and actually hated the smell of this one more! When steeped, it maintains its smell and unfortunately (for me) that translated into the taste. I could only take one sip before I had to set the cup down…
This is my 4th tea from the summer collection and so far the one which I find to be most disappointing. As far as taste, this one is very similar to mango madness which was great however, I found myself asking the question “where is all the tea?” The 25 g sample barely had any tea in it and was mostly just dried fruits…making this iced would probably require nearly all of the 25g sample. For that reason I will give this one a 75.
I made this one iced today. I have been meaning to make this iced for quite some time but as I have so many teas, this one just managed to get lost in my cupboard. I can say that I definitely prefer this iced over warm. I am still not pleased about the amount of tea you get for the price (I would be able to understand that more for a white tea or even a green but definitely not for an herbal!). The 25g pack that came in my summer collection box only made 2 cups of warm tea and 1 cup of iced tea…I was hoping to get at least 5 cups out of the pack though. This is wayyy better iced which is unfortunate as it requires twice as much dry tea but during the summer I could definitely justify it more…especially with our recent heat wave!
My third tea from the summer collection, and again I must say I am very pleased! This tea is fruity and sour like passion fruit yet not overpowering! I will have no problems finishing the pack and will most likely restock when I am finished! I think this will be delicious iced!! As I am again unable to rate on my phone, I will mention here that I am giving this tea an 87
This was the second tea in the summer collection I have tried and so far so good! This one was refreshing, subtly sweet and very smooth. I will definitely restock this once my 25g sample runs out! As I am again using my iPhone and am unable to rate, I will just mention here that I am giving this a 90.
Last time I had this it was warm…which was great! But, tonight (to get through the recent heat wave) I brewed this one iced and it is also AMAZING! I can’t say for sure which I prefer but can say that I will absolutely re-stock before this one retires! I hope they bring it back next year cause its definetely one of my favourites and I could see myself drinking it all year round…so smooth!
This one was the first I have tried of the summer collection and I was definitely pleased!! I was surprised tonight with the collection and dove right in smelling them all…once I smelled this I had to brew it. It smells like a piña colada but I would say the taste is more fruity. Overall I am very pleased and will definitely brew again…I see no problems in finishing off the package! I am using my iPhone to rate this tea and can’t seem to drag the bar to rate it but I will give it an 85 for now and will fix this once I get to a computer.
