377 Tasting Notes
Saw this at Walmart and my wife said if she can get the White Peach Mango I can get this one. I love my wife but I’m pretty sure I made the better choice. For two dollars a box you seriously can’t do much better. Smooth caramel vanilla or is it vanilla caramel taste? I don’t think either is overtly stronger than the other. A very good desert post dinner tea.
I have seen that Twinings offers a bagged Lapsang but have never been able to find it in a store…..until now. Picked up a box when I went to grab lunch. Nice Aroma. A little more subdued than Dr. Teas Lapsang, but that comes with bagged vs loose leaf. The tea is smooth and has a nice smoke to tea ratio. If that makes sense. I told one of my buddies at work that I would share tea with him sometime so I shared this one. He gave me the thumbs up. I really like this one.
I have had this bagged as one the craving tea lines. I decided to buy this with a gift card that one of my dearest friends gave me as a wedding gift. I open up the bag and the aroma is heavenly. I have a bad sweet tooth when it comes to caramel. I get home from a gig Saturday night and try it out. It’s so good! It’s gotta be one my new favs. I tried half of this and half of the Imperial Pu-Erh in a french press…yes indeed quite a treat!
I support you in this curiosity. When I started my loose leaf journey I stumbled upon their website in search of Tea knowledge. I found a series of web video that go over the basics of tea. I love the Dr.‘s positiveness in drinking tea. I put in an order and I’ve found all the teas to be very high quality.
Yeah doing morning news instead my normal afternoon shift….this had to happen! The bummer….once again I have cashed my stash. I might have to go back for more or maybe explore the Mate Vana :)
The Mate Vana is really good too. The JavaVana is not for me and I have a LOT of it. If you want it it’s yours! Let me know.
So running out the door this morning I had what I call a teabrain lightbulb(Despicable Me) Throw this in my strainer mug with a little Ti Kuan Yin….The result. I am ready for fall! All I needed was a little whip cream and my oh my I would have thought I just finished Thanksgiving dinner. This is such a great herbal!
Found a box on vacation in Florida for 25 cents at a yard sale…first win! I was intrigued at the list of ingredients including the Mate and the rosemary. I could not taste much cocoa in this tea as I could a mix of the citrus and rosemary. Overall it’s a good tea. Not teagasm good but this is one I would buy and have on hand at work. I like the fact that it has the Mate in it. My wife’s aunt does not drink coffee so it’s nice to have this on hand as a sub. I definitely like this tea better than a lot of the selections you can find at a Starbucks location.
I have had to brew this one a few times before reviewing it. At first it seemed harsh to me…but after tasting it a few times i really like this tea. If i were to rename this tea i would call it Fireside breakfast or camp breakfast. It very much reminds me of english breakfast with lapsang in it. I dont know how the Osmanthus flowers affect the tea but i think this one is very good.
Lipton’s series of pyramid-bag teas is pretty uniformly good.
I have had Black Pearl and it was pretty good. I haven’t tried the others yet.
@gmathis I completely agree. @ashmanra Black Pearl is tasty as well as the Bavarian Berry and Blueberry Pomegranate White. White Peach and Mandarin Green just do not taste right to me.
