From DAVIDsTEA

We’re diehard sherbet fans around here. But when it comes to choosing a flavour, we always have a tough time picking our fave. So we said to ourselves: why settle for one when we can have them all in one tea? Say hello to the fruity sensation that’ll have you steeping all the colours of the rainbow. Inspired by a summer classic, this refreshing tropical blend is bursting with ripe raspberry, sweet pineapple and juicy orange. One sip is all it takes to get the party started. Go shawty, it’s sherbert day!

Ingredients: Apple, pineapple (pineapple, sugar), orange peel, hibiscus, sweet blackberry leaves, cornflower petals, raspberries, natural flavouring.

Price per 50g: $8.98

I love rainbow sherbert but cannot always find it in stores. I decided to give this tea a try and I was pleasantly surprised that it actually tastes like rainbow sherbert. Both hot or cold. I steep this one no longer than 5 minutes. Any longer and it becomes bitter.

Sipdown! 140/365!

In the interests of finding teas to brew up and ice, I grabbed my DavidsTea bins and started rummaging through them today to see what’s actually in there. Of course, a bunch of what I have is 1-2 cup samples, so as a side benefit, I’m going to pull those out and drink them down. I’ve obviously been fairly derailed with my Frank-era 52teas mission, but it will continue at some point.

Anyhow, I couldn’t really remember what i thought of this tea the first time I had it, but I wasn’t really a fan this time. Sweet, a bit hibiscus-tart, citrussy, but nothing like the rainbow sherbet I remember from my childhood (which was more orange + lime creamsicle flavours, if I recall correctly). Just tasted like a fairly run-of-the-mill tea with the listed ingredients. Maybe good if that’s what you’re looking for, but I’ve had better fruit combinations.

I haven’t really been into the fruity herbal teas lately but I am really enjoying this one. The last one I tried was Alpine Punch and it was good… but this one is great. It’s really refreshing. I can really taste the raspberry, and I love the tartness the raspberries bring forward. I taste the orange slightly at the beginning. This is on my list of teas I would like to own!

I tried 4 of DAVIDsTEA’s newer (newish) iced teas all in one week, and I wasn’t really impressed with any of them. I didn’t add any sugar, steeped the tea as instructed, and then poured it over a cup of ice. After a fair number of sips, I added lemonade “to taste” – half my cup ended up as lemonade.

We brew this one with hot water but serve it iced. The aroma is so powerful – my daughter can open a bottle of it while we’re in the car and you almost instantly smell this beautiful creamy, fruity fragrance. There’s something about it that is so thirst quenching. My kids will guzzle this stuff instead of soda, and that’s a good thing. It’s certainly not a sophisticated, refined delicacy – but it’s flat out yummy.

I iced this. It’s OK. I’m glad it wasn’t too flowery tasting.

A decent iced tea, but a bit heavy on the hibiscus for me to be totally in love. It’s mostly hibiscus, orange, and a bit of pineapple. It’s refreshing in it’s way, but the hibiscus adds a kind of dry, not exactly thirst-quenching pucker to what is otherwise a perfectly nice, albeit light, orange tea.

I’ll easily finish out my bag (it makes a pretty nice tea pop!) but I’d not repurchase this one.

I had to go back and buy more of this. I think it might be the best thing to come out of DT this year. So good as an iced drink. Lime, orange, raspberry, creamy, sweet but no stevia/added sugar. So, so good.
