I love teas that promise an energy boost, so of course I had to try this one. Papaya and peaches didn’t sound too bad either. I picked up a 25g bag a couple of weeks ago and just got around to trying it a few days ago.

I had no prior experience with guayusa so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. In the bag I could smell the fruitiness, but also an herbal, earthy, almost pungent aroma. This made me a little wary, but I shouldn’t have been. I had it iced and it was perfectly fruity and refreshing. Very light and slightly sweet, it was delicious. It does have a somewhat herbal flavour in the background, but I actually enjoyed that and found that it only added to the overall flavour of the tea. I can see myself drinking this quite often this summer.

This is one of my least favorite teas that i’ve had. I bought a tin of it, and made it through the tin. I think it might be because I am not a huge papaya fan to begin with. I find them bland, which is how I found this tea. There is quite a bit of caffeine in it, which i liked, and I think made up for the taste for me, but I definitely won’t be getting an entire tin of this one again.

I still have some of mine left from a while ago, but I like it. I’m surprised you forced your way through the whole tin! I probably would have done a few tea swaps to get rid of some :)

haha it was summer, so i made it into iced tea mostly after my initial couple mugs of it… it works for iced tea though

I’ve only ever had this iced, but I really enjoyed it. Tastes mildly fruity, but ends with a slight vanilla flavour. Guayusa was a new experience, found it left me very energetic and feeling great. Would certainly have this tea again.

As described. This tea has a very funky taste, in a good way though. It kind of a tangy sort of fruity. I find it really quite interesting and like it. And in fact, it does (or seems to anyway) provide the energy it promises. It worked for me from about 7:00 AM to lunch time which is pretty good for one cup, if I would’ve had more there’s no doubt in my mind it would’ve been longer. And the way it works is pretty cool too! The energy doesn’t just smack you in the face…..it comes slowly, yet steadily for quite a few hours with absolutely no jitters and not even close to any crashing after, unlike other energy products. So just don’t drink it before bedtime and you’ve got a great tea that packs a punch.

The first time I had this, it was in store and it was iced. It was delicious! I had it with a bit of sweetener. You can definitely taste the papaya ad peach, and the blend is perfectly balanced. It is perfect for a summery, fruity tea! Plus, I love the caffeine. It is my fave stimulant from Davids Tea. I went back to get some and am now drinking it hot. It resteeped good for a second cup, but I wouldn’t push it to 3. If you like fruity teas, and don;t mind the caffeine, I highly recommend it!

This did slightly have me feeling like Tarzan!

Jungle Ju Ju is yet another one of Davids unique herbal infusions, but this one has a slight twist, its base is Guayusa (pronounced gway-u-sah) and it packs a potent energy punch.

Dry this infusion has small leaf particles filled with bits of peach and papaya and a very soft earthy smell from the guayusa. Steeping the tea provides the same peachy aroma, like Buddha’s Blend it smells strangely like Fuzzy Peach candies!

The final brew is a dark color, with a sweet peach aroma. It has a light sweet fruity taste, that is great served warm or cold. Served best long before you plan on going to bed!

Overall this is a pretty simple infusion, if you want a punch in the face of energy that comes with a nice peach flavor this infusion is for you.

Definitely my #1 from DavidsTea.
Given the good reviews I saw on Steepster I figured I’d give this guy a try, especially since it has fruit in it. I went with 25g on my first purchase and went back to DavidsTea not long afterwards to get myself a tin.

It has a unique smell to it, the combination of guayusa and fruit makes for an interesting experience. As this tea steeps, it goes from a slight green to golden yellow colour, and smells great. If you were unimpressed by the scent, though, fear not. The taste is what truly wins you over.
It’s fruity, earthy, refreshing all at once. Definitely fits the bill for naturally sweet. Just what the doctor ordered. It’s great hot, but I will definitely try this iced when summer rolls around because it’s truly amazing.

I can’t speak for the stimulant effects of this tea, because I’ve fallen asleep soon after drinking this on three separate occasions. It’s perfectly fine, though, because I didn’t choose this tea for that purpose. Definitely keeping this one stocked.
