Blueberry Peach Crisp

Late night cuppa from earlier this week – I think it was shared w/ me by VariaTEA so thank you for the share! I should probably stop trying new teas so late at night because then, when I go to write about them a few days later, I don’t remember the details super well…

I was trying to think of the last time I saw both blueberry and peach in a tea together, and I think it may have been one of the blends from Bird & Blend’s “Battle of the Peaches” last year!? I feel like they’re such a nice combination together though that more companies should try them out – and I especially liked this lighter and warmly spiced combination of them. I thought it was fruity in an approachable and restrained kind of way, and the nice addition of cinnamon brought out more of those baked/cobbler kind of notes from the peach!

I’m enjoying the fruity flavor of this. The quality of the fruit isn’t like fresh fruit, but more like dried fruit. It was really tasty before adding milk, but I decided to add some anyway, and I think it tastes similar or slightly worse with the milk. I don’t really get any kind of crisp or baked element, which would have been really fun, but I’m pleased with how it came out anyway. I’d have this again!

2021 sipdown no. 23

This one is really tasty! I would consider ordering this one. The blueberry, peach, and pastry notes all come through in a balanced manner. The flavours are also very true to form. There’s no fake or cloying-ness here. The base tea is lovely, but ever so slightly astringent, though this may be fixed by steeping temperature. As the tea cooled, it only got better. It’s quite refreshing! Thanks for such a wonderful tea Nichole!

Deep baked-fruits aroma/flavor and sweet, pastry-like cinnamon without actually being sweet. The aroma is a bit too artificial for my liking, but it’s a nice, strong scent. The blueberry and peach are well balanced. The Lipton-like black tea brings a grounding, woody tone, while the hibiscus/rose hips/cranberries (whatever amount ends up in a mere teaspoon) bring just enough tang to brighten the brew. I think this one is really well done, well balanced. While not something I would find myself craving, I do recommend it. Of all the times I’ve brewed it, the last cup has been the best with 1 tsp to 6 ounces instead of 8.

Day 5 Advent

i think this was yesterday’s tea. i’m veen drowning with work this weekend – creating an org chart of 100+ people in post it notes on my wall. it was tasty, though more blue berry fruity than peach which was ok by me because i’m off of peach.

This was a perfect start of the day. I was craving for fruity, but with caffeine-included base and black tea is great.

I agree with a ashmanra saying it’s more Peach-blueberry blend, but that is only flaw with this tea. I agree with another her statement “baked cobbler taste” yep — exactly! It is pie crust as well, just like a hot and liquid cake. I guess this is something I will place order once… as it is delicious, fruity, and with caffeine. I will prepare more than one steep, but writing this just after one. Yummm!

“Mutta et tiedä miltä minusta tuntuu.” ehm, no, my Finnish isn’t that great. I just copied that from song. I feel down. I need to write me semestral thesis, if possible today to have it done; but I just can’t make it happen in three days. LIke I have no idea what to write there! I just want to cuddle myself in blanket, enjoying all the tea I have next to me and watching some sense-less TV shows or movies. Nothing from that will happen.

Another flyby; ashmanra’s review pretty much captures this: peach and piecrust. I think this is my first experience with green rooibos and I like it. CuppaGeek does flavored, desserty things quite well.

Cuppageek Advent random pick day #2!

I did actually do a random pick today and didn’t cheat and try to see the name first. Yesterday was Frosted Cranberry – yummy, yummy, berries and sweetness, need to order.

Though this is another fruity blend, it was very different. Instead of fresh fruit, this tastes like a baked fruit cobbler. I think the cinnamon is what makes it taste that way to me. It was really good with my brekkie and once again I did three steeps.

Tastewise, I would call this Peach Blueberry, because it is peach forward to me. It isn’t a heavy peach black though, and the green rooibos shines through. I really feel like there is a baked cobbler taste here!
