Another Sample from AmandaStory
This is probably my second cup of this tea since receiving it? I was happy to try another Bird and Blend Tea as I’ve only tried a couple of teas from them in the past.
This one is quite flavor-forward I would say. It’s very citrusy lemon and orange, in particular, is what I’m tasting and at times the chamomile and citrus almost clash a little bit. I have mixed thoughts on this one because it is so nice but I think I usually reach for night teas that lean more towards tasting floral compared to citrus. It was interesting seeing that this one is on a white tea base but I can’t taste any of the white tea. I do feel pretty calm after drinking this which is always a plus!

Kind of diary entry tasting note!

Haven’t expecting that this tea will be my celebratory for 1000 tasting notes, but here we go.

It’s second cup I have prepared yesteday before the exam. Taste-wise, it’s pretty much boring herbal with hints of orange rinds. I have added once a pinch of white tea (Vietnam Wild Mountain Mist Silver Needle) and it was a wee better. But not this time.

But it’s so well blended for the expected purpose. It calms down. It relaxes me. It is a great tea before the exams. And it worked again greatly yesterday. I wasn’t overthinking my answers. I was just doing my best.

We had 90 minutes for the exams. Solve 5 problems, explain 10 theory questions. I was just filling the answers, I had some great ideas how to solve something…

… and I have passed that exam! So, double celebration!!!

White Antlers

YAY! Congratulations on passing another exam, for finding a tea that relaxes and for hitting 1000! What a banner day!!!!

January Bird and Blend subscription blend. I’ve decided to cancel my Bird and Blend subscription for now. I didn’t really care for this month’s offerings, and it looks like the next few months won’t really be for me either.
This tea tastes pretty much as expected, and has a very common ‘relaxation blend’ flavor. Im mostly getting the chamomile and apple. No white tea flavor to be found…doesn’t really seem necessary here. This will be going in the swap pile.

AJRimmer

I’ve considered their subscription before, but monthly selections like this month’s are what keep me from getting it!

tea-sipper

You get to know B&B’s next few months in advance?

amandastory516

Under the tea subscription’s product page, they list the contents for the next 3 months. It’s definitely been helpful!

Martin Bednář

Yep, noticed that… won’t peek though!

tea-sipper

Oh cool, I didn’t notice that before.

Sipdown! (2 | 75)

Okay B&B, this one is pretty lame.

It’s supposed to be a white tea but mostly it just tastes like chamomile with a hint of citrus. And maybe I get the linden as well?

Anyway, this is quite boring. And also I don’t understand the thought behind adding chamomile and valerian to a non-herbal tea… Especially when I can’t taste the tea here anyway.

If something, this works at least as a placebo effect to relax indeed. But taste-wise, it’s indeed lame.
