561 Tasting Notes
I was intrigued by the sounds of this as a latte, so naturally, I had to place an order online to get some of it to try. And also buy all the cute fox items that came out. If there was a fox on it, it was mine (Foxes are my second favorite animal-Dogs are my ultimate 1st). I must say that I was actually pretty disappointed in this one made as a latte. It tasted “chalky” to me and I like the Chai spices to kick-me-in-the-face with how strong they are and this one was so mild that I could barely taste it! On the plus side, I made some for my sister and am happy to report that it will not go to waste as she loves this one! It’s so funny how we all have different tastes!
Received this sample of Cardamom Macchiato along with my newest DT order (had to get that free Llama tote bag!)…and of course get some more (on sale) Sunset Matcha! I am now the proud owner of 900g of it! I had to stock up since it looks like its retiring and I want to enjoy this blend for awhile (especially when your person loves it too as a matcha lemonade). Anyhoo, back to the sample. I was super excited to try this one ever since seeing it on a leaked photo of upcoming tea names list on Davidstea fan group on Facebook. The dry leaf smells like licorice to me (which is weird because there’s no licorice in this blend). However, while brewing, it started to smell like coffee (one of the yummiest smells in the world in my opinion). I made it as a hot latte. One taste and it’s instant love! I really like this one. Kinda tastes like coffee crisp at first, then I notice the cardamom/coffee flavor coming through. My wallet isn’t going to be happy with me this Fall/Winter season as I will have to stock up on this one!
I placed two orders to stock up on sale Matchas online and got two samples of Horchacha. I decided to add both together to make a small latte. Man, is this ever delicious! My tastes buds were awoken at first sip! It was incredibly sweet, so I probably shouldn’t have added any agave but I still fully enjoyed my sample. I found it tasted like sweet cinnamon rolls. I so have to go place another order now for some more………
This tea is delicious! My mother gave me some teas as she doesn’t drink tea much anymore. I found this treasure in the bag she gave me. I totally want more of this blend! I will cherish what little I have left of it. Tastes like pineapple, coconut and lemongrass combined. Truly a heavenly combo.
I did not discover this tea on time when it first came out and missed out on it. I have been wanting to try it for years since. The wait is finally over and I must say that it makes a really tasty hot tea latte (tastes like a cookie too!) Perfect paired with some gluten free chocolate chip cookies.
