576 Tasting Notes
Thanks to a weird sleeping schedule this weekend I am up right now, so I thought I’d try one of the teas TeaEqualsBliss sent me (whilst playing Bulletstorm on my xbox). This one has smelled up the box with its delicious cinnamon smell so I’m diving right in. It brews up cinnamony strong – one of my favorite smells – and tastes as spicy as it smells. The base tea is decent, but doesn’t shine through over the cinnamon.
This is your basic peppermint tea, but I love drinking it when I’ve got a migraine. It’s very soothing and calming. I brewed up a big pot in my new Electric Kettle. (Actually I bought it with a gift card LAST year and am just now using it. Yes, you can laugh.)

This peppermint is pretty fresh so it’s a crisp and flavorful cup. I’ve tried Adagio’s as well, which isn’t as tasty. I think I’ll end up mixing the two bags…
Preparation
Red Rooibos and I do not get along – I get headaches from it. But this Green Rooibos is my friend. I love the flavor of light green tea (no woodsy stink like the red rooibos offers), blending with peach and berry…although the peach is stronger than the berry. This would taste AMAZING iced, as it already tastes like summer in a cup.
Thank you, JoeCool (Nichole) for sharing some of the tea bags of this Adagio holiday gem. :) I’ve used candy cane in blends before, but hadn’t tried the tea bagged version yet.
In fact, I haven’t tried any of Adagio’s bagged tea yet! So this is a first!
This tea is delightfully buttery, creamy and minty. The flavor isn’t too strong, but instead of thinking about candy canes when I sip, I imagine those buttery after dinner mints that melt in your mouth. Still, this is like deliciously sweet candy. I love the flavor and the bits of candy in the bag (always a nice touch).
I’m adding this to my 2011 holiday shopping list – to help unwind after the whirlwind of activities!
I am a Jasmine Fiend! I love the smell and the taste of jasmine tea, so I am glad to have “found” this one…in a package from Meghann (thanks girly!)
The jasmine flavor and the green tea are in a terrific balance. I could drink this over and over and over and over…
2nd infusion is as flavorful as the first.
YUMMY!
Thanks to Jude for letting me sample this one. :)
The tea bags smell like hot chocolate – the instant kind, from a box. I’m not a big chocolate person – I like it and all but I prefer fruity candies over chocolate.
However, when I have to decide between chocolates I must go with dark (I’m allergic to milk chocolate). So this would be one I might pick for myself.
ANYWAY I’m new to mate – and my last try was disastrous so I’m somewhat hesitant.
Still smells chocolately… can’t see the bottom of the cup. I smell the “old coffee” smell that must be mate…
Drinking it, it tastes basically how it smells. It’s OK. Not my fave chocolate tea, but not the worst thing I’ve ever had.
Thanks to JoeCool (Nichole) for this sample – and once again, SpecialTeas will be missed! This tea was flavorful and fresh from the bag, and smells “berry” hearty (har har). Once infused the cranberry taste overpowers the fluffy white tea base, which I love! It’s deliciously sweet and tart at the same time.
I tend to like flavored green teas the best (over black and white) because it seemed the green tea base was always strong enough to hold its own over flavors. But this white tea delivers as well.
I’m just not into trying new things this morning, even though I have plenty of options! (Please see other tasting notes. This is my most often-consumed tea!)
OK, after this cuppa, I’ll try one of the samples from Meghann, QuiltGuppy or Jude. Promise!
In the meantime, if you haven’t tried this tea and would like to, Teavana is giving away a free 2 oz sample of the blend to try – for all online orders of any amount. :)
Ha! Near the same time last night, I was drinking some Tazo Organic Chai and playing Call of Duty with my son on his xbox!
I also forgot, Market Spice was my first loose leaf tea, a friend from the Seattle area sent me years ago…yum.
