22 Tasting Notes
Today was my first Marriage Freres, and Marco Polo was the chosen one by my brother. I must admit that I had reservations about how good this tea would be. Some of those came from reading other reviews before trying the tea, and some other ones were derived from the fact that this is their best selling tea. How good could it be?
Well, it is good, in fact very good! Flower tones are present but not as an artificial flavoring, probably as it would taste if the flowers were from the tea. To me there is a hint of jasmine and strawberries on top of the black tea.
Yes, it is good. Very good, but I am not a “repeat buyer” just yet. I will update as I drink it on other times.
Preparation
Stacy, you are Tealand Fairy, and this is your best magic potion!
I grew up in a town where caramel candies are special, and your tea sent me back in time to those years when I was just a boy waiting for my favorite candy to arrive after finishing my homework for the day.
The combination of flavors is sublime. I am not, or pretend to be, a tea expert. I am just starting on this tea experience, and finding delicious flavors like this one makes me want to try and learn more. Thank you Stacy.

One word: WOW!
I love Chai´s and the name of the tea made me buy it. Im so glad I did! Drinking it without any sugar is sweet, I can taste the chai, the lemon and the chiffon meringue on top of it. One of my favorite teas!
Preparation
This time my rating goes to my all time favorite Teavana: Maharaja Chai.
Sometimes I feel like mixing it with another Teavana, the Samurai Chai Mate and I do that for the lemongrass and extra spice… some other times, like tonite, I just enjoy sipping it with a tad of rock sugar to pop open the spices, no milk, and I just love it this way.
I do understand that not two palates are equal and that each and everyone is entitled to their own opinion (and tasting notes)… In any case, if you don’t like chai´s you won’t like this one, as much as I rave about it… but if you do love chai´s, you will love this one regarles of any negative opinion you can read.
One of the best teas from the Teavana collection.

Another hit from Butiki! Visually, beautiful combination of greens and reds, reminding me of a watermelon immediately. The taste initially was very good, and after reading The Tea Fairy review I decided to wait a bit and let it cool it down…. the difference was noticeable! It is my favorite Butiki now! Thank you Stacy for this sample, it is on the top of my reorder list now!
Preparation
This is one of the samples I received on my first Davids Tea order. Before saying anything else I have to say that after opening the package my expectations were very high. The packaging, care and details were simply outstanding, so I expect my teas to taste as good (or more) than the rest of the experience.
Now, on to my review. The dry smell just out of the bag is delicious… Once brewed the fast is there, between the milt layers of oolong you can perfectly taste fresh pineapple. In one word, impressed. in two words, impressed and delicious!
EDIT: Second steeping… sweetness came from somewhere, still creamy, now with a new pineapple sweetness. YUMMY YUMMY!
Preparation
I must admit that I love mint teas. This one is up to par to the mint teas I had at the Shuk in Jerusalem. The flavor is bold and rich, not only minty, but almost mint-chai, if something could be called that way. Right now, this one is my favorite mint tea.
Preparation
I visited today Central Market in San Antonio and it was a surprise to find so many loose leaf teas. My brother had recommended the Marriage Freres Lychee tea and when I saw the Rishi Lychee tea i had to buy it. It was a fantastic find, and my main reason to go back and buy some more! I used a little sugar, just a tad, and the lychee flavor is on top of the black. If you like lychee you will love this tea!
Preparation
My second Butiki! And the score is two out of two… GREAT TEAS!
This one is soft, clean, sweet… I am diabetic so I don’t use any kind of extra sugars, and straight of the little bag Stacey sent as a extra sample it became an extra nice surprise! Strawberry flavors without any hibiscus is something that I do appreciate. Reminds me of the yellow cherries, and the second stepping was as good as the first one.
