Shae. I am finally getting around to trying this one. Sorry it took so long and thank you so much for letting me try from your stash! If I had walked into this tea without knowing what it was I would have called it a weird-looking oolong. It is rolled like one but the stems are quite a bit thinner and the leaves are seemingly thinner and not as thick as the Camellia Sinensis leaf. The wet smell is very vegetal and somewhat mineral. The flavor is very savory. Brothy. Reminds me of ginseng but is smoother with a touch of astringency.

I’m a purist but I will try a flavored as long as it doesn’t have artificial flavors.

I will drink any type and love to taste whatever I can get my hands on.

(Purple is not a type of tea it is a cultivar known as TRFK 306/1)
