71 Tasting Notes
I’m slowly becoming a fan of Mate the more I try it. By itself I cannot get over its strange, almost abrupt herbal flavor, but I do enjoy its energy boost similar to drinks like Red Bull. I saw this flavor at Target and figured I’d give it a try and I’m glad I did. The chocolate spice is not strong, but it does mellow out what bothers me about mate…makes it more palatable. That being said, it’s not a bad choice.
This really tastes like a buttery sugar cookie with notes of vanilla and just the right amount of orange. I don’t add sugar or (soy) milk, because I try to keep it simple and to adjust my palate. It’s pretty much like that Girl Scout Cookie
My thoughts on novelty flavors…? I’m guessing the flavors are vegan, because it’s certified Parve Kosher and not dairy Kosher, so I’ll assume it contains no dairy- a plus
So, what’s the point besides? Is it just a warm beverage without caffene that tastes like a sugar cookie? I had to investigate the main ingredients and what benefits they may add to consuming it..
Milk Thistle-good for the liver
Roasted Barley-remedy for cold and flu for breaking up congestion, phlegm and other symptoms of the nasty seasonal bug
ok, now it’s worth it. Probably great when you are craving Girl Scout Cookies and don’t know any Girl Scouts
Preparation
I tasted this from a sample that was added to my order. after trying it I immediately thought it would make a great summer tea. It’s really nice & smooth with a real cantaloupe aroma, flavor with a touch of cream. I had a little sugar handy just in case I may have needed it, but didn’t use it.
Another great tea from Butiki
My first experience with Guayusa. I love it. I love anything Apricot and this has such a nice, true to fruit flavor. I think I’m digging Guayusa over Yerba Mate..it has a less abrupt herbal note, is sweeter with little after taste. Thank you Stacey for sending me this sample I will definitely order it next time.
A great green tea. Smooth, sweet, has that authentic lime “jello” taste with marshmallows, yet still tasting the tea.
I don’t do gelatin, so this is a nice flashback from when I was younger
Preparation
should have said…(Vegetarian, as well!) :)
I LOVE that Frank makes (most) of the teas Veg*n Friendly YAY!!!
yes, I after I wrote my review I thought I should clarify what i meant ;) I assume people know, but generally people don’t know that gelatin is basically a bi-product from animal bones :(
What a great tea. First I was hit with a strong aroma. The blend itself looks inviting with bits of carrots, coconut and walnuts.
It brews an awesome orange. It has a satisfying full carrot cake flavor, not too sweet and not too bland. You can also savor the roobois, which is important.
This will be a staple for me.
As soon as you open the package you are amazed by the real maple aroma coming out at you..and looking at the blend you are impressed by what’s in there, bits of maple sugar, pink peppercorns & nice looking black tea.
It tastes great and has a pleasant real maple flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness & black tea flavor that compliments each other very well.
Perfect by itself, but even more indulgent with some maple agave & soy milk ;)
