Sipdown (292)
Another tea from Sil. Thank you! Trying to blast through these so I can finally seal up the TTB and send it to Roswell Strange and some of the samples from Sil are for the two of us to split.
This one is fine. Smooth. Mild. Not much going on. If someone wanted tea to drink everyday and ignore, this could be it. Personally I usually drink tea for flavour so I don’t need more of this. If I was going to drink something absentmindedly, it would be water.

Another sample from Sil with puerh. Yesterday’s cup was my test and if it tasted like pu’erh I intended to just pass this on. Since I didn’t get any puerh there, I decided to give this a try – with a slight amount of puerh fear. I also thought I set a timer but didn’t so I have fear I oversteeped this.
Again, this isn’t a strong puerh flavor, thankfully. It actually is pretty spot on for a chocolate dipped strawberry, nailing both the chocolate and strawberry flavor. I’m surprised that I’m enjoying it like I am.
Cold Brew Sipdown (296)
I noticed in Sil’s note she thought this would be better as a cold brew so with the cup worth of leaf she sent over, I did that. This tea is surprisingly clear and has a sort of smooth berry flavor but not much of it. It’s a lot lighter both in color and taste then I expected from a cold brew that steeped for 6+ hours. Nice but light and not anything I am writing home about. Still fun to try though so thank you for sharing Sil!
Latte Sipdown (297)
I probably should have added these after I blasted through the samples that Sil sent to be divided for me and Roswell Strange. Oh well. And thank you Sil for sharing!
I wanted more from this one. It is sort of a dusty cocoa flavor. It recommended sweetening it and I think that could have helped. Instead, it is sort of a muddled cocoa mess. Meh.
ETA: Apparently I had this before and did not remember at all. Seems my tastes haven’t changed much about it.

Puerh…my nemesis…I see you in that ingredient list and I fear you. However, that seems unnecessary since I am not getting much puerh flavor. It’s mostly a mediocre chocolate tea. Not bad but not worth fearing the puerh. Thank you Sil for sharing though and the rest is off to Roswell Strange

In my head I kept calling this Maple Pumpkin Marshmallow. There is no marshmallow here, and there isn’t supposed to be. I guess that is just wishful thinking on my part because I like marshmallow flavoring in my teas. Weird though.
Anyways, this is one of the samples that Sil very kindly dropped off for me yesterday. Thank you!! I was adding her teas into my steepster cupboard and thinking I had a lot of tea drinking to do in order to divide up some of the samples between me and Roswell Strange. However, I am trying to make sure that I am getting enough water and hydration – for me that has meant drinking at least 2 litres of water before drinking any tea. I had a late night last night though and started my day later than usual so I decided today I would allow that 2 litres to be made up of both water and tea, as long as the tea was caffeine free. Hence why this rooibos caught my attention.
It is very good. It is not rooibos forward at all, which I like. Instead it has a nice amount of ginger and cinnamon. Its supposed to have cocoa pieces but I am not getting that at all. Instead I am getting more a maple-y, cinnamon, ginger, and apple concoction. I wouldn’t label it Maple Pumpkin Rooibos from the taste given that but I am enjoying it nonetheless.
I made this one last night and then got caught up with other things. So I am drinking it now – cold. I worried I would not like it at all because the rooibos scent was strong but its okay. It has a nice blueberry flavor in addition to the rooibos. Also the rooibos is a little honeyed so it sort of gives off a sweet baked good vibe along with the blueberry. It’s not really accurate but its alright.
