6444 Tasting Notes
Smooth black tea and some sweetness from the fig. Typical 52 Teas spice mix with nothing being overbearing.
My brain scrambled the name on this to “Holiday Black Pudding Tea” which would be a totally different experience!
LoL – rest assured that I have no plans on ever attempting a black pudding tea, unless it happens to be April 1.
Day 3 of my advent was this tea, which I think was left in there from last year. Oops. It was a simple gunpowder based genmaicha. Not as heavily roasted as I expected, but nice toast ones from the popped rice. The gunpowder was smooth and not particularly grassy. It was nice but not a standout.
This was day 2 of my DIY advent and I was feeling inspired so I topped a hot chocolate with a salted caramel matcha whipped cream. It was soooo good! This matcha is more salted caramel sweetness than grassy matcha and so that paired perfectly with the hot chocolate. Amazing! Plus it looked pretty: https://www.instagram.com/p/Clr_THmOYMX/?igshid=Nzg3NjI1NGI=
Strange VariaTEA TTB: Tea 29
This was day 1 of my DIY advent calendar and Roswell Strange hit the nail on the head with her tasting note. It’s spiced but in the wrong ways with an emphasis on turmeric. That made this very earthy and really not overly enjoyable. Add in the ginger and it doesn’t get any better.
