drank Honey Pear Nectar by Moderna Tea

I know Roswell Strange paid a lot for this and had a bit of a time trying to purchase it so I really wanted to like it. However, the base is just too strong for me. It’s nutty and almost the slightest touch leather-y. Pear is hiding just under it. It peeks through at times but it can’t seem to fight it’s way through. The honey is even further buried. I want to like it but it’s not delivering for me. Perhaps different steeping parameters would help coax things out because 4 minutes in 190F didn’t do the trick. I’m still grateful for the chance to try it though and will change up steeping next time. Thank you for sharing, Roswell Strange!

Honestly, it’s probably better that you not fall in love with it – the worst thing would to become super interested in this overpriced tea only available from this super scammy Vegas store :P

There is a lot of cardamom pods in this blend. Unfortunately, the chai mixture is a bit muddy so it’s mostly mediocre chai. I wish there was more white chocolate or pumpkin because I am not getting either in my latte.

ALL OF YOUR CARDAMOM ARE BELONG TO ME!

Good bye tasty tea! You shall be missed.

Anne is NOT bananas or coconuts because this is the perfect banana and coconut blend.

This was much better as a tea lemonade. This tastes like peachy hibiscus with an apple-y aftertaste. It’s actually not bad and thankfully still no chamomile flavor.

I’ve been into chocolate orange for a while. My goal has been to replace Butiki’s amazing chocolate orange tea and this is not the replacement. It’s good but it’s a bit too rooibos-forward for my tastes. Rooibos and orange with some chocolate.

drank Lemonade, Anyone? by Tea Please

This tastes so familiar. Not like lemonade but a lemonade candy perhaps. It is driving me nuts because it is something I have had before and I just can’t place it.

With that said, I really like it. It’s very refreshing, sour, and also sweet. I am having it cold brewed and enjoying it a bunch. Looking forward to when Roswell Strange tries it as well since she may know what it’s reminding me of.

I have this cold brewed a few times now. It’s strongly hibiscus flavored but with a touch of blueberry.

Iced Latte Sipdown (288)

Thank you for sharing Roswell Strange but this is like all other cacao teas and they just aren’t for me. I got more earthiness/muddiness than I do chocolate. The best part of this iced latte is the whipped cream and chocolate syrup but if that’s why I am drinking a tea, I suppose it doesn’t matter what tea it is.

drank Southern Malt by teakruthi

I was going to write Sororitea Sisters review about this tea but if I am being honest, there is not a lot to say about it. It’s a good tea but nothing particularly stands out. It is malty. Since it is called Southern Malt, I suppose that’s all it needs to be and it delivers.

My cupboard has grown exponentially since joining this site and I have a lot to share. Feel free to snoop through my cupboard and message me if anything interests you – I am always happy to swap!

For me, flavored teas are definitely my sweet spot. I will most often reach for black teas and rooibos or honeybush blends but I do keep some flavored whites and greens around for when the mood strikes. I have a few herbals/tisanes but most of the time I find myself disappointed by them as they often smell deliciously sweet and then end up tasting tart/sour. I have a little bit of an aversion to pu’erh and oolong teas. I am also wary of florals, earl greys, and chai teas. I do not like overpowering citrus flavors nor do I usually like hibiscus, licorice or chamomile. I love dessert teas – caramel, vanilla, toffee, cookie, cream, and other sweet flavors make me smile. Fruits like strawberry, peach, mango, and pineapples will often catch my attention as well.

I have also realized that although I really enjoy adding frothed milk to some of my teas, if I do not like the tea with zero additives (just in plain water without milk or sugar), I probably won’t drink it. The one exception is flavored matchas which I will happily drink in cold milk if I do not like it mixed with hot water. My theory is if the tea can’t stand on its own then it is not for me and I will more than likely try to swap it out for something else.

Tea Ratings Guide (as of December 10, 2017)
90-100 Teas I NEED on hand at all times
80-89 Teas I want to keep around for a cup every now and then
70-79 Teas I am glad I have around and can experiment with but probably don’t need more than what’s in my cupboard
60-69 Teas I would not turn down a cup of from a friend but that would probably be enough
50-59 Teas I can see why someone would enjoy but are not for me
Under 50 Teas I really did not like and most likely got dumped
