I’ve been drinking a LOT of of my Youthberry stash lately, especially now that i’m trying to be more thrifty and not spend unnecessary $$ and caloric space on sugary stuff thats so easily accessible in any cafe around where I work. It tastes amazing cold, even without any sugar added. Somehow the fruity flavours help offset any craving I might have for something sweet.

Mild, lightly roasted green flavour. Steeps nicely with multiple infusions. The leaves are a bit off yellow-green, but maybe because its a less fresh tea that has been sitting around in the cupboard now.

Just steeped up a pitcher of cold brewed green tea with mint leaves and lime slices. Refrigerated overnight. No mess and easy to throw together, perfect when getting home after a hot afternoon.

This was my second Earth Day free tea from Starbucks.

This was the other fruity tea they had besides Youthberry in store, this one being on a herbal base and caffeine-free. It was okay, the pomegranate flavours definitely came through but I think I’m just not in the mood for tart flavours at the moment because my brain kept thinking cherry cough syrup :D I resteeped it and stuck it in the fridge at work to see what its gonna taste like tomorrow cold though.

Something positive I should mention about this promo – the baristas consistently gave 2 teabags for my large travel mug, which is nice, I had expected only 1 bag.

Today being earth day, it was nice that Starbucks was giving out free brewed coffees and teas if you brought in a reusable mug! I got this but as I suspected, it was bitter. The baristas know it is white tea but they don’t seem trained on the fact that it should be brewed at a lower temperature. Or perhaps they don’t have access to water less than boiling temperature? Furthermore, the tea menu is so inaccessible – you have to get the baristas to rattle off everything they have. Wouldn’t it make more sense to list the choices out on the menu board above? But still much more friendly approachable atmosphere than Teavana – I HATE the Teavana retail store experience with a passion.

Felt like having something sweet and flavoured, this was the only tea that fit the bill in my work stash. Felt a little lacking today though, compared to my previous notes on this. The melty chocolate oil slicks bothered me as did the strangeness of caramelized brulee & pumpkin spice on the watery base that is tea. Sometimes whether you like a tea or not just boils down to that day’s mood.

This tastes like potent candied citrus notes because of the the bergamot; can also detect notes of berries, and sweet notes of caramel. Interesting tea but not my taste. It makes me want to visit France and see Kusmi’s full selection though!

Notes of earthy dark chocolate + faint almond scent on a black tea base. The aroma is amazing when steeped, but I find the flavour of the liquor itself lacking, until I add milk to it. Pretty tins, could get addictive collecting these tins!

I’ve never really liked cherry flavoured products as they tend to remind me of cough syrup. This one does still have that cherry flavour i don’t like; putting that aside the tea itself is fairly average tasting herbal tea. This was a freebie so not too upset about not liking it too much. I think I’ll use up the rest in a tea cocktail; the cherry will probably taste better cold.

Had this a few days ago. Its a black tea with pieces of dried grape (?) or currants in it and tastes like wine. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it icewine-like because this tea isn’t that sweet as icewine is, but the overall flavour of this is of white wine, fruity, slightly dry, but a subtle flavour overall.
