Tried it as a latte tonight, and it wasn’t bad. Better straight, though, and still not my favourite. Back to my Pumpkin Chai from Davids for me!

Finishing this one up as a latte tonight. Definitely better as a latte when I cinnamon up the milk. Bumping up the rating just a tad as a result.

drank Chocolate Orange by DAVIDsTEA

What better way to end a work day than with a tea that tastes like chocolate orange? I’d gotten this one in store before I left since we still have some in my store here and mmmmm. Definitely delicious as always. I’m still surprised I like this one as much as I do since I’m not a fan of those Terry’s oranges OR of pu’erh. And yet I love this tea.

This was my last tea in my completion of having every tea on the current DavidsTea wall. Yes, I went with the irony of the Orange Pekoe. :D

I had them prepare mine with milk and agave, and it was delicious, if a wee bit too sweet. Who knew, I don’t like agave in my orange pekoe! This was an excellent cup of a solid tea staple, and I am definitely going to be enjoying the bag I got of it as well!

Congrats in completing the wall! : )

Thank you! I still can’t believe I did it!

Wait, I bought the Raspberry rooibos, right? checks package Yup, okay. So it wasn’t just that my cup didn’t get a solid rinse. I am tasting rooibos with like a drop of raspberry. Add triple the fruit flavours/ingredients, and this might be an awesome tea. Right now, it is way too strong of a rooibos for me.

Oh Cinnamon Heart, why oh why are you a pu’erh? If you were a black you’d be in the top teas for me. But no, you have to come into the room and bring your fish pollution with you. Didn’t your mom teach you to wash your hands after food handling, Cinnamon Heart, and to not mix certain foods?

sigh Sorry David’s, yet another pu’erh I can’t bring myself to keep around. Which is sad because omg the potential of this one if it was a different tea!

After reading the notes, I think I steeped this one too long. It was nice, but a tad too jasmine for me. I did finish the cup though, which is more than I’ve done for a few of the teas in the last twenty four hours, so yay! Going to try a shorter steep nice time and see if that gets me more lemon than jasmine.

This is the second time I’ve tried this one, the first being in store. That time I couldn’t figure out what it was that I didn’t like in the tea, and blamed it on the over-brewing that can happen to the more delicate teas when they’re samples.

This time, I have an ingredient list with me, and much more tea knowledge. Drat that infernal licorice, that’s what ruins it for me! I want a mint mint, not something masquerading as one! Sorry David, but I think I’ll be going elsewhere for my mint teas.

This one isn’t my favourite green. There is nuttiness which I like, but there’s something about it I can’t describe that is turning me off. Others compare it to an oolong but that should mean I love it since I adore them. Maybe something was off in brewing, so I’ll have to try this one again. Not rating, just in case.

Holy mint, Batman! I thought I loved a strong mint, and then I tried this tea. I normally reserve my straight mint teas for when I’m ill, and I’m thinking this one is going to be blended with my Cold 911 to kickstart things when needed. It’s a wee bit too strong for me, but it is better than any bagged version I’ve tried, and is definitely mintalicious. I love how I can feel the mint effects all the way down after I’m done!

I like to blend this with Three Lemon Green as a “feeling under the weather” brew. Cuts through the sinus block, for sure!

Bio

An avid tea addict in the GTA, Ontario, Canada. I’m always looking for new teas and new tea addicted friends!

My preference is loose leaf of all varieties, however the occasional bagged tea can come along and charm me. Flavoured or straight, there is a good chance that I will be falling in love.

My ratings system is based on the smiley faces above the ratings scale.

0-10 — This tea didn’t get past the initial sip process. I just couldn’t bring myself to drink more, I found it so horrible.

11-50 — It made it past first sips, but as I drank a bit more I realized I really wasn’t enjoying the tea, and would never drink it again.

51-60 — I probably made it through the cup, but won’t be trying another one.

61-69 — Either it’s a mystery tea and I can’t decide if I like it or not, or it is one that I felt was purely adequate.

70-85 — These are the teas that I appreciate and/or like. If they are falling in this area they are ones that I would definitely re-buy, however are not ones that I must always have on hand. The good, but not the amazing.

86-94 — These are the favourites. My cupboard feels empty if they aren’t inside.

95-100 — Tea perfection!
