Devilish Send Message

A very interesting tea. Was pleasantly surprised to see real coffee beans in the tea bag! This has the taste and aroma of coffee + caramel and I think it’s not too far from caramel macchiato you find in Starbucks! It’s a tea that can tempt tea lovers to try coffee and coffee lovers to try tea :P

Love this!! I want something with chestnut in it in this cool autumn morning. This is just exactly what I need, the chestnut flavour is subtle and goes really well with the major note – dark chocolate flavour. Although I must admit that the taste is not as amazing as the extremely chocolatey aroma!! This reminds me of high quality French pastries (think Pierre Herme and Joel Robuchon) and makes a great dessert tea.

This has been in my cupboard for too long… I am not sure if the slightly weird fruity flavour has anything to do with that. It tastes strongly of strawberry, but there is an additional sweet note that I cannot identify. I guess it’s supposed to be mango, but it tastes nothing like that! Anyway, the fruity flavour is artificial so it’s probably not for any serious tea drinker.

This is an okay tea. The blueberry flavour is decidedly artificial – it’s the kind of fruity flavour you expect when you have fruit pastilles. I don’t hate it though because I grew up with fruit pastilles! :P

This is AMAZINGLY GOOD! The liquor has a lovely moon-like hue. It is beautifully scented with osmanthus, which happens to be my favourite floral fragrance. It’s almost like you are drinking oolong beside blooming osmanthus. Love it!!

This seems to be one of Lupicia’s signature flavour. I used to like it a lot for the berry flavour… but after tasting lots of different teas over the past few years, it longer tastes as amazing as I remember. It’s not that the quality of the tea has deteriorated… the sweet fruity flavour is just too artificial to me now. Well… it’s ok when you need a casual cup of tea or some sugar to boost your mood I guess.

Today, I feel that autumn is finally here after the hottest summer in my life! I’ve been drinking mostly green tea and oolong tea the whole summer; with the slightly cooler weather today, I decided to have a cup of black and green tea blend… with a little bit of peach (my favourite fruit in summer). :)

This was a nice tea. It had the depth of black tea, the sweetness of green tea, the fragrance of jasmine, and an undercurrent of peach flavour. It made me happy. Though I must say I am a bit disappointed that only peach flavouring rather than real peach was used in making this tea :P

This is a very unique tea. I have never tasted black tea like this before! It has an intense coffee-like, roasty aroma. The liquor also has that characteristic roasty flavour that reminds me of houjicha, but of course it is not as strong. It is malty with a bittersweet finish. It’s certainly not my cup of tea – perhaps it’s an acquired taste – but you’ve go to try it if you wan to expand your palate or call yourself a tea connoisseur :P
