338 Tasting Notes
Agree with Veronica that it’s a mood booster… this rose tea is an elegant drink. It smells so fragrant and sweet that no matter how busy you are, you can’t resist the temptation to pause to enjoy it. I feel like a princess as I take a sip, even though I am rushing a report at home in my old pyjamas!!!
Preparation
I bought this because of the smartly designed TPOD! The tea leaves are put inside this soft unique translucent envelope which is allegedly aroma and fragrance protective, moisture-proof and tear resistant. TPOD also serves conveniently as a stirrer. I really love the design!
Yet, I don’t enjoy the tea at all… among all the peppermint teas I’ve tried, this is the one I like least! It has a strong vegetal taste that reminds me of damp, fallen leaves… :( I hope the other teas by Bistrotea will have a better taste!
Preparation
I thought the pure peppermint tea by Twinings was good, but it’s not until I tried this Arabian Mint Tea with Honey did I realize the true definition of “good”! When I opened the box I was already overwhelmed by the aroma of honey, which was sooooo lovely! The tastes of mint and honey in this tea are in perfect balance, so that it is neither overly minty/herbal nor overly sweet. It’s a tea great for cold evenings I think. Thanks Evil who bought me this tea! :)
Preparation
Got this tea bag from a hotel. I’ve never been a fan of fruit infusion but I needed tea to wake me up, and this was what I found from my box of tea leaves! It surely smells good – the smell resembles that of blackcurrant yogurt. For the taste, it is intense blackcurrant while the ginseng and vanilla are nowhere to be found. I guess the steep time was a bit too long…
Preparation
I love, love , love this tea. I treasure my little box of St. Petersburg so much that I am only willing to use a small amount of tea leaves each time! :P I always drink it plain, which is delicious enough. The fruity berry note is so fragrant and delightful. The caramel is sweet but subtle, so to me it tastes more like honey. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Mariage Freres’ Marco Polo. :)
