193 Tasting Notes
Superb! This is my first tea by American Tea Room and I am thankful to Kristin for the swap! I really like this…. chocolate!!!!! chocolate!!!!!! And no caffiene such a plus. I am funny with my rooibos tisanes. I just started venturing out and buying some but this is one that I do not taste any rooibos at all. I am glad! So even if you don’t normally drink rooibos don’t let that inhibit you from trying this tea! Thanks again to Kristin!!
Preparation
Thanks to Kristin for sending me a generous samples with this in it! I am not going to rate this one yet because I accidently let it steep for like 20 minutes. Oops got caught up in a phone conversation. It was drinkable but very very berry almost medicinal tasting. I am going to give it another shot when I pay closer attention to the steep time and will repost another review/rating then! Thanks again Kristin for swapping!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! I have my chinese new year eggs simmering in Cha Yen Thai tea!! Just posted a pic on Teavana’s facebook wall. If you can like my photo before 5pm today!!!!! I can’t wait to see how the eggs turn out…I am going to let them simmer for a while.
For anyone who wants to see the finished product I posted a pic on Teavana’s facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/photo.php?fbid=1544127167783&set=o.16714458909
Thanks Meghann for this sample to try!!! I am not sure what I am tasting it seems as if every sip I get a different fruity flavor. It is good! So glad I got to try it. I don’t think it would be an everyday kind of tea for me… that of course is the one pound of chocolate peanut butter cup that Frank is blending for me :) But this was an enjoyable fruity green sample!
You know how sometimes you hear the question if you could take one thing with you on a deserted island what would it be? Well the Breville one touch would be my answer.
Although I was a little apprehensive about the price I am so glad we made the purchase! I use it multiple times during the day and absolutely love setting the autostart feature to have tea ready for me in the morning!!!
Enjoying a comforting cup of this tonight. I am bracing myself for the snow/ice storm that is heading our way tonight. As my taste for tea as grown I have been using less and less additives but I treated myself tonight and added a touch of rock sugar to this. A nice sweet treat!!! Thankful my parents were so kind and ordered another tin of this for me. So nice that even at almost 30 years old my parents still spoil me!
My husband and I enjoyed an afternoon at the mall and he actually let me walk into Teavana!!! (Usually ends up with me spending way too much money and not necessarily on tea but accessories… cast iron teapot, Breville, teamakers, spoons you get the idea!) This is why my husband usually wants to chaperone me if I am going to the mall LOL!! But he was in a good mood and actually went into the teavana with me…(probably just to keep a close eye on my wallet!) But I got a $5 cup of “crack” if you will. That is what I think Teavana puts in this blend ;) It is so good when they make it… and there has to be some kind of drug in it for me to spend $5 on a cup of tea!!!! It was heavenly though!
(And when my husband wasn’t paying attention I got 2 oz of Jasmine green pearls and 2 oz of strawberry lemonade. I love blending the two! :) All in all we had a great mall trip!!!
I really like this one! I just ordered a sample of it in my last Harney order but the next one I am going to order a tin of it!! Very nice black tea with an apple taste with a touch of cinnamon. The cinnamon is not real strong but you can taste it. Well so far I have not had a Harney tea that I didn’t enjoy!
If you order this, make sure you get a sample (or a tin) of the Brioche too! :)
Ok thanks for the heads up… I was looking on their website and saw that one!!!
Looks yummy!
The website is listing the Brioche as out of stock :(
Oh, that’s sad. Hopefully they will get more. I love that Broiche and I keep meaning to order some of it too. I only had a sample of it and it ran out months ago.
