Another free Lupicia sample. Really cool they send 3 free samples with orders.

The sachet had little specks of coconut in it, some pink rose. It had a strong strawberry aroma with a little coconut, sweetness, maybe some vanilla. I couldn’t really smell the rose from the sachet. It smells good. Overall, Lupicia teas sure smell good. I had thought “If the aroma holds up, I will like it but if it takes a vicious turn and brings in strong rose…” Well, you know. lol

The aroma held up concerning the rose. A nice taste of strawberry (not artificial) and a slight tartness like real strawberries have. I think Lupicia has strawberry down pretty well. The coconut and vanilla notes were light but were there, same with cream notes. Although not a favorite of those I tried so far, I’m glad I was able to sample it as I saw they were sold out of it on their site.

Sachet in 130 ml, boiling water for 3 steeps 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m.

Flavors: Coconut, Cream, Rose, Strawberry, Sweet, Vanilla

Preparation
Boiling 2 min, 30 sec 4 OZ / 130 ML

Wondering… is this from a recent Lupicia order from their website? Because with them not answering my e-mails, being sold out of many teas and not having any news about the happy bag, it seems like they aren’t even in business any more?

Kawaii433

Yes, very recent. I just got the order this past week. I wrote and asked them a question too about my order, and no response. Hmm, strange.

thanks for the info!

You’re very welcome ^^

I’ve never tried emailing them, so I don’t know if that’s normal. Maybe try Facebook?

Kawaii433

Good idea. They are pretty much posting on their FB page, that’s good. I like their teas now that I got to try them, I would hate for them to go out of business!

Kawaii433

I was reviewing which Lupicia to re-order and I keep ordering. I’ve lost my mind. lol Anyway —→ Wow @tea-sipper

Profile

Bio

Longtime casual tea drinker. In the past, mainly Matcha, Gyokuro, Sencha, Genmaicha… Etc. I like all teas: Green, oolong, black & pu’erh (prefer ripe over raw).

Chanoyu (for matcha prep) and Gongfu cha (for other types of tea) are the main ways I prepare my tea (Gaiwan, Yixing teapot, Kyusu). I drink all tea… Usually unflavored. This past year, I’ve tried many flavored now because of all of you lol. As long as there aren’t artificial sweeteners, it’s all good.

Favorite stores: TeaVivre, What-Cha, Mandala Tea, 52Teas, Whispering Pines, Bird & Blend, Yunnan sourcing, White2Tea, Lupicia.

The flavors I dislike: Artificial sweetener, lavender, violet, any strong floral-perfumey tea; cantaloupe, papaya, honeydew, rose, licorice, anise, jasmine, any mints, leather.

Favorite flavors: Citrus fruits (especially grapefruit & tangerines), granny smith apple, bananas, guava, mango, tamarind, watermelon, stonefruits, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, milk, cinnamon, creme, bread/pastry, nuts, toasted, roasted.

I generally don’t add anything to my teas unless they are flavored, then I may add a splash of milk.

As I explore, my ratings may shift. 90+ generally means I’ll keep it on my shelf.
