We went for my birthday and I reserved a table for 5. There was a mix up in the reservation but it was politely resolved and worked out well. Etagere has a pedicure section in the back blocked off by sliding barn doors, a pastry cabinet of goodies to go, cute tea items for sale, and then they had several areas for tea parties. We were seated in the back corner under a metal gazebo with a variety of ornamental trinkets and curiosities. We each picked a tea which they refilled several times for us. If uncertain they hat “cootie catchers” to help with decision making. I had an Earl Grey and it was lovely. They serve High, Low, and Elevenses. We went for Low tea and enjoyed canapes, mini pastries, and scones. It was more than enough for our group. The tea settings were lovely and I would return again (more often if it was closer!).
A friend sent me a text letting me know about this shop. We booked a reservation online for a table for 2. The online reservations are a must as we did see some people walk in and be turned away. They had a large party and several smaller tables. Tea selection was very good and the afternoon tea menu changes monthly. We enjoyed the vegetarian menu and purchased some lemon squares to go as they were so tasty. The shop felt small and crowded. They have just opened a 2nd location and we’re hoping to try it out to compare.
The cafe was bustling on a rainy Sunday when we were heading off Cape. We stopped in for lunch. I grabbed a cup of Boston (cranberry) tea to enjoy with my panini. The rest of my party got fabulous pastries. I definitely would recommend stopping in for a cup of tea and a treat.
