761 Tasting Notes
Think I oversteeped or ocerleafed this one today, as it was a bit astringent. But it is still pretty good. I do think that ATR Brioche is better than this though. That’s ok, as there are plenty of stellar Butiki teas about, including one I hope to make as a custom.
Having this due to tummy issues and not wanting caffeine in the evening. It’s definitely minty, and there is a hint of rooibos, but no throat weirdness, but also no chocolate unless you consider the vanilla like flavour like white chocolate.
I’ll probably finish the sample from Amoda, but it isn’t something I’m likely to buy again. I have other similar options here.
Having this as my evening tea, as it’s a caffeine free blend. Part of my New Years resolution is to reduce my caffeine and increase my water intake. It’s going ok so far, only I have very few non-caffeine blends to choose from, and I dislike a lot of herbals. I’m also not a huge rooibos fan, though I seem ok in this and the other DT blends.
I do definitely get nut, with sweet apple and spice.
I have just a little left. I do like this, so I might order more of this for my evening drinking, but I think I might prefer the straight honeybush from Champagne Cider. I’m not sure if I like this as much as I used to, so I have dropped the rating, but I do still like it.
I’ve forgotten about 3 times in the last 2 hours what tea I had today, to write a note about. Forced myself to start my note before I forgot it again. This is in no way an indication of how I feel about the tea, but probably more to that I’m super tired tonight.
That said, this steep today was not nearly as nutty as they have been before. I’m not sure if I under-leafed or what.
I do like this tea, but my life won’t end if this tea is not made permanent.
Had this today…both mugs got it. It is better this time than last, when I had had it drung my sick period in November.
But, it’s…it’s not quite carrot cake. I get a creamy feel in the mouth, but I’m mostly just tasting the spices. But then, compared to the other Carrot Cake tea I have had, this one is surely better.
Don’t get me wrong, it is still a tasty tea, but I’m missing out on some of the more subtle carrot and cake notes.
Backlog…had this the other day. Was nice to just pop a few bags into my Timolino and kid’s tumbler mug and get dressed in the morning rather than my usual double steep.
Tea was much better than expected. I think I am a little confused about this blend having both white tea and chicory root.
