Sipdown.
I love me some Keemum. This tea was delicious. The leaves were cut and small. Taste was solid – caramel with some chocolate and bread as it was steeped longer. Kind of sad to sip this down.

Fruity, slightly astringent, solid but nothing spectacular. Leaves are chopped in fairly small pieces. Daily drinker tea.

Sipdown.
Good light earl grey. This tea has the odd white tea leaf in it as well. More for looks than taste.
It was light on the bergamot. It never got too strong or artificial tasting. Good tea for a daily drinker. I would buy this again.

Pretty unremarkable for all it’s osmanthus scented. Some osmanthus flowers in with the oolong. Green oolong base is only okay. There’s probably about 1 cup left at work. I’ve had it 3 times?

So this is teabag #5/6 that I’m having tonight.
4min 212F
smells of cinnamon and nutmeg
tastes of cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe a hint of earth in the aftertaste
I wouldn’t call this a pu-erh. It tastes like a cinnamon tea. Their Emporer’s pu-erh is better.

The other teabags I finished today: Sakurambo (black), Darjeeling 1st flush -Lupicia; Jasmine green, Earl Grey – Rishi. #6 – will be Momo oolong Lupicia

Sipdown. After the 6th teabag, my tea count will be 251.

Flavors: Cinnamon, Nutmeg

I like their Emperor’s Puerh. The one with cardamom was prett good, too, but I didn’t care for the others much. Especially the minty one. Bleh.

this one kinda like puerh chai to me

Backlog – sipdown 6/29
cold brew – 24hrs
floral, refreshing, green, powdery?
I’ll not purchase more of this. I don’t like the finish and the flowers get overwhelming.

Backlog. Sipdown 6/23

smells like chestnut or hazelnut
205F, 1min
tastes like roasted sour nuts. So it’s probably charcoal roast or a heavy roast. These teas all taste the same to me. Bleh. From Nov 2015

Flavors: Chestnut, Hazelnut, Nuts, Roasted, Sour

Sipdown 6/22 – Backlog
Cold brew.
Doesn’t taste of much – clean generic green tea.

Sipdown 6/18
I’ve been really working on drinking down my green teas. Those teas are my least drunk overall and tend to be very old.

1st time – 5/10/18
185F, 5g, 200ml glass teapot
smells of green beans, peas
10s/10/20/30/45/1min/2
fuzzy thick texture, cotton, mouth fells silky – faint hint of sweetness
This is a texture tea, mouth coating with an aftertaste of sweetness.

2nd time. 6/18/19
So I did a dumb thing and left this open and exposed to air.
1 min, 170F?
faded, faint sweetness, vague green something, kinda creamy

Flavors: Green Beans, Peas, Sweet, Thick

I really liked this tea when it was fresh. My only concern was size -4oz is a lot. I didn’t finish this tin in a timely fashion and it showed in the tea.

Sipdown. 6/9/19
Cold brew – sweet, juicy and vetegal

Unfortunately, this has really deteriorated. It’s lost much of the sweetness and fullness of the previous brews. A much muted sipdown. Probably a repurchase – it won’t be 4oz worth though

Bio

I started my tea journey with Stash/Celestial Seasonings tea bags years ago. All loose leaf, unless I’m sick or traveling.

I like black, oolong, white, herbals, and raw/ripe pu’erh. I don’t drink green tea often.

I play video games, read, and do pottery. My current favorite tea mug is one I threw and glazed.

I generally review teas twice – initial and final steeps.

My cupboard is completely out of date. I have a spreadsheet (it’s current!!!) that’s over 300 teas. Pretty equal amounts of black, white, oolong, raw, & ripe with a little bit of green/herbal.

Ratings
85-100 are teas that I loved and want to keep in stock.
71-84 are teas that are good. I may or may not get them again. Source for daily drinkers/work teas.
60-70 are teas that I didn’t like. I’ll finish what I bought.
Anything less than 60…nope.
