230 Tasting Notes
This tea is on my: I will have to take a sample home and try again" list. I tried a small sample in store… He claimed it tasted not like tetley, but more like red rose (ouch) and I kinda agree. For all the hype this one fell incredibly flat for me! :(
Wow. That is bad. I would definately get a small amount to take home and make yourself. I prefer it with some brown sugar and a little milk. But this is my new favourite tea and I hate red rose.
I don’t know why the picture did not work.
This tea is defiantly better as a lemonade. Thank being said I don’t think this is a tea I would purchase again, it is rather acidic if I have had a strong black tea or coffee before this one.
But… the kids at work love it!
Undecided..?
It smells so deliciously of caramel I was a little un-nerved that once iced all I could taste rooibos, although there is a distinct finish of caramel with each sip. I think this might be better hot with some steamed milk.
Preparation
Good.
This is one I might actually enjoy and it might actually encourage me to go back for more, or maybe send my mother. (I’m still reeling from the service in the store, and my dirty decorative tea tins)
First steep was intense raspberry flavour, with a buttery finish that allude to thoughts of raspberry crepes.
Second steep… I think the water may have been too hot, but there was a slight astringency that I did not appriciate and the raspberry bits started to look tired (they were a blanched white, no more pretty red)
I might take the time, when I get home tomorrow to try this one again.
Preparation
Had this again tonight at White Spot, and I am so buying this tomorrow when I go to Tea Desire!
So excited!
So let down, this tea will just have to be a special tea I have when I am out at White Spot or willing to walk to the Roost. (But I can live with that)
