230 Tasting Notes
One cup last night, and the last cup this morning. This tea is incredible, and near impossible to scorch!! I say that now – because it is safe to say it, since I no longer have any tea left.
This was so delicious, it smelled divine, it tasted divine, it was just… divine.
I say more but my brain is in an emotional funk.
Preparation
I’ve been wanting oolong all week! And this is the one I have not had in a while. With this cold, it just did not seem fair to try any of the oolongs I have that I have not truly tried yet.
My poor nose is stuffing up faster than I can empty it and I am FREEZING! God I wish there were meds in the house to take the stuffiness away and let me get back to sleep – I just hope this tea is helpful!
Steepings so far: 2
Preparation
I have to go and get more of this soon. I popped this tin open last week and enjoyed re-steeping this twice. I did not push my luck with re-steeping because I worry that the fruit will become bitter and unenjoyable.
I LOVE this oolong! It can’t help but to make anyone happy! I wish I had brought my tin of this home from work… Maybe a little Happy Kumboucha will give me the same sense of enjoyment?
Preparation
It’s so frustrating when you have tea in different locations and you’re not with the tea you crave – I feel your pain, hope your home oolong satisfies your craving until you’re well enough to return for this one. :)
You’re not having a very good run of luck… you should treat yourself to some really nice tea to brush away the start of the week.
I promised myself no more new tea until I am completely moved out of this going no where relationship.
I have savouring the last bit of this sample, and wishing I had a better way to steep this tea. My Nordic pot does not do this tea justice! The leaves need more room to open up and the basket in this pot just does not work. sigh If I had another pot that I could decant into that would work better, but I am not about to complain too much. I am on day two of every tea smelling like wet dog once it is steeped…
It is a day of fog so think that I can’t see the airport let alone the back yard. Can’t complain – if I can’t see the kick ass view while I pack my stuff it will be really tough to miss the view right? I’d fight to stay but I don’t have enough furniture of large enough pay check this year to keep the place let alone have a “Break-up” (the movie) proportion fight over this place.
I have enough left for one more cup, and I think I will be waiting until this sinus cold is done and over with because I made a cup of this last night and oh crap! It smelled like wet dog and tasted like soap! I know I did not over steep and there was not enough lavender in this tea for it to taste like soap!
STUPID Fall Cold!! I loathe you!!
Preparation
Oh… my… Goodness! This tea is great iced! I put too much into my travel mug yesterday. and was upset because to me the liquor smelled like wet dog! WET DOG!! I got to work and was not wanting to waste this tea, so I poured it over ice and listened to the children complain about smelling pumpkin pie but not seeing it. So maybe the smell is just me.
It tasted far better than it smelled and today I woke up with the first tickle of a sinus infection at the back to my nose and throat… and sure enough my morning tea smells like wet dog too! GAH! Stupid cold! this is terrible!!
Preparation
Oh my god! I have had at least 3 cups of this and not logged it yet?!
What was I thinking? This is on my list of must keep as a staple tea, I know that my co-worker from South Africa might things to say about my opinion of this sweet power house tea. According to her there is no place here that sells “A true and real Rooibos”
But that being said. I enjoy this one as a latte and just plain. Mmmm, really need to get more!!
Preparation
Jessie it is a great tea! because it is sweet enough to drink plain and perfect for a super sweet late night latte when you are having trouble sleeping and need more than plain old steamed milk.
(Back log)
I am not sure how I feel about this Oolong, all I could taste and smell on the first and sadly only steep (One should never make an oolong before bed); all I could taste was the wonderful jasmin.
Eventually I will be able to steep my tea longer and start tasting those lovely goji berries. I can see them, there is an equal amount of oolong to goji in the loose leaf, so… where is that wonderful tart fruit taste? hummmmm
Preparation
I am taking this tin to work, the kids deserve some Summer happy on a cold rainy day. Maybe we will try this one sweetened with agave instead of lemonade and we’ll serve it hot today.
By the looks of things outside I should really pick up some cocoa and sweet fruit teas for the kids for this rainy season!
