Hi there. I need to reduce my teas by about a half in the next few months as I will be traveling for about a year or so. Here is what I’ve got to go so far.
Va Luen Co Menghai Brink 2005

Really nice brick comprised of Menghai region tea. I bought from Toby after trying it from one of his curated boxes. Great tea. This is a chunk taken of the larger brick.
2007 YEXIANGWANG NAKA
This tea has quite a kick to it. Still a little green but settles down into something very nice after the first few steeps.

If anyone in the US was interested in the Bird&Blend sale, almost everything was already out within the first couple of hours. What a shame. Yep, I woke up early just because I figured the sale would start today. Then couldn’t go back to sleep. haha. I really wanted some of the Jelly + Ice Cream that I thought they said was discontinued. Good to know it can reappear!
How often do they do sales? I hesitate to place an order with a new company when the shipping is so steep. Maybe a sale would take that edge off.
I think Bird & Blend only has sales in July and after Christmas. They once had free shipping to the US sales, but I don’t think they do that much anymore.

I actually voiced my concerns about the international shipping fees and lack of any free shipping cut off on large orders (I’ve made $100+ orders before and received no free shipping kickback) as well as them offering free shipping promos to UK customers but never to international customers on a recent B&B survey. I love B&B, but the international shipping is a problem. I do hope they take what I had to say into consideration.

Hey Pat-teaJi these are some great quality teas you’re selling! It’s not the easiest to get many of these boutique Taiwanese puerh teas here in the west..I’ve seen many of these teas going for more than what your offering them for in taiwan. What are your thoughts on how BHYJ compares with BYH? May also be interested in picking up one of the XZH 8582.
Thanks Obritten, I try to give a fair price since I want to clear a bit to make somme space in my tea closet. Hard to compare different Taiwanese brand, I think they all have their unique colour. Both BHYJ and BYH have the quality of good gushu production, always satisfied on taste, balance, processing and longevity
