Still enjoying the sample of this Nicole sent me. It’s definitely a top tea for me. I like how smooth and simple it is. A pleasant cuppa for a dreary day.

I love Boston Tea Co. stuff. Haven’t tried a bad one yet.

I had wanted to order more of this, but they are out of stock online. I hope they restock soon. I only have enough for about 2 more cups.

Received some great news tonight. Felt like celebrating by enjoying a cuppa rooibos while watching the series finale of Gossip Girl.

This was one of the many generous sample I received in my holiday sampler box from Nicole. I LOVE this tea! It doesn’t have the greatest of reviews here on Steepster, but I’d like this to be on my shelf always :)

It is wonderfully honey flavored with a hint of lemon. I like that the honey is the dominant flavor. Honey has always been a favorite of mine. It needs to become the sweetener I use more often with tea. I can barely taste the rooibos, but I think it works as a base. It is calling for a second steeping.

Kim, you need to come over tomorrow night for a cuppa :)

Nicole

This is actually one of the only rooibos blends I like – maybe because it isn’t very noticeable. It’s very calming to me. A good pre-bedtime tea.

Thank you so much for sharing it with me!!! I’m hoping it puts me to sleep tonight :)

I just can’t resist loose leaf or pyramid bags in new flavors when I see them in physical stores, so when I found a box of this at Marshall’s it was an obvious buy.

The first thing I noticed was a rather small amount of tea in each bag. While this makes it easier for one to get the exact amount of tea desired steeping, it still feels like kind of a rip-off, especially considering how unnecessarily large the bags each sachet is packaged in are. The smell is also quite distinct: strongly lemon, similar to a lemon candy rather than cleaning supplies. There are several large chunks of lemon peel in each sachet, so it’s not just added flavoring.

The liquor is a nice golden-green and similar in scent to the dry leaf, although the aroma of the green tea base is more obvious. And pleasantly enough, the taste follows suit. It’s not incredibly strong — you’ll definitely want to use two sachets unless you are using a very small cup or prefer a very subtle taste. Nonetheless there’s a nice balance between the base and the flavoring, with the candy-esque lemon and the grassy green tea surprisingly harmonious. It’s a tad astringent, and there’s even a little bit of lemon aftertaste.

Highly recommended if you want a simple and inexpensive flavored green tea and happen to see it!

Now, let me preface this by saying I may have a different product. I received a tea sampler set from my cousin that had already been opened. I do not remember all the names, and I wrote them down in short hand, which apparently I can’t understand. Anyhow, I shall assume it is this one as I have (seemingly) all the flavours listed here. I shan’t review them all, however the mango and the blueberry stood out for being good. Nothing was ‘blow my mind spectacular’, however. For a cheap set, this one will do.

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this.

This is pleasant … the cranberry and blood orange balance each other out nicely so that it doesn’t become too tart or too sweet. I think I would probably prefer it if the fruit notes were able to mute the flavor of the rooibos a bit more, it has that distinct rooibos/nutty/woody kind of flavor to it that I’m not wild about, but, it doesn’t taste too bad in this cup. The berry and citrus have a nice, tangy finish.

Not my favorite rooibos blend, but, it’s not bad either.

gmathis

Their regular cranberry orange black is very tasty; stands to reason that this would follow suit.

I’m confused! I mean it happens easily but I just can’t seem to get a grasp on what I like and what I don’t. I’m pretty sure I don’t like green teas, not even green oolongs, then this happens.

So thank you LiberTEAS for this sample. I don’t have a lot to say about it. Moroccan Mint is… well, minty. I’m sure that this is a stark revelation for many but I’m known for having a steely sense of discernment so don’t feel inadequate or anything.

On top of minty this drink is crisp and refreshing. This would be a good tea to clean the palate with. I like it…mostly because I don’t taste the green but that’s beside the point. It just means I can’t completely scratch anything off of the list yet.

Nice. I’m drinking this hot at the moment, but, I’m thinking of putting this in my bottle for some cold-brewed steep & go goodness as well, just to see how it fairs. Right now, I’m loving how sweet and deliciously refreshing this is. Really nice after having pizza for dinner! Soothing and calming!

ETA: I forgot to add … Thanks to TeaEqualsBliss for sending this tea to me!!!

I’ve got a Boston Tea Company Dragonwell, and I was really impressed.

gmathis

So far I haven’t tried a Boston Tea that wasn’t of an excellent quality—as always, some flavors are personally more tasty than others, but it’s all good stuff. Thumbs up on their dragonwell.

ashmanra

I see this brand occasionally when I am out of town. I will look around for it today in Raleigh and Durham.

LiberTEAS

@Ashmanra – I know I still owe you some teas – and I have this one set aside to send you along with some others! :)

This is a lovely chai. It may be because it’s been a while (at least a week if not longer) since I’ve had a chai, but this is really tasting so very good to me right now. The spices are not overwhelming, and I like that the cinnamon and ginger are pretty much in check here. They aren’t overpowering, in fact, I’d say that the cardamom and cloves are stronger in flavor than either the cinnamon or ginger. The anise gives it a gentle sweetness in the background. This would be a good chai for even those who dislike anise, as it is not a strong presence here, and the anise seems to meld very well with the other flavors.

The black tea is equally as prominent as the spices, and it has a pleasantly smooth, rich tone to it.

Overall, a very pleasing cup. I drank this without milk, and just a wee bit (a half a teaspoon) of turbinado sugar, which helped to enhance the spices but didn’t make it overly sweet. Very nice.

Thought that this would be one bad idea of a tea, but I was surprised to find that the flavor actually added something unique to the concept of Earl Grey. The green tea adds a mellower canvas for the orange to come through.

Hackensack, NJ!
I liked the package – 8 tea bags for $1.00

7/30 I poured some over Ice and added some sugar – taste like a SNAPPLE.
So.. if you like Snapple, brew it cold.

Upon opening the tin, my first impression is that it’s bagged tea… unbagged. The leaves are very tiny and uniformly cut. The smell is pale, but if I stick my nose into the tin I get notes of a standard English Breakfast.

Trying it plain before I add anything to it, I find that it’s very strong. It’s malty and a bit astringent. Adding milk smooths it out. It’s decent. It’s nothing special, but it’s a good English Breakfast.

This is tasty, cold-brewed, but I did not need to let it brew so long.
