Its one of those hurry up and wait days. Where everything happens all at once, then grinds to a shocking halt, only to pick up again the moment you have readjusted to a slower pace.
Bleh. Tea!
I am digging citrus blends in this heat. It somehow feels more seasonally appropriate, and so I sip with pleasure. Fortunatly my office is air conditioned enough to have a nice cup of tea without suffering. (It is often on too high, in fact, making a cup of tea a survival mechanism, but not today. Today my temperature is perfect indoors!)
I have no right to be as tired as I am today. I mean, really. I had a lovely nights worth of sleep, and the weather is mild, what am I so exhausted for?
Obviously the only solution is tea, and after a lovely cup of this I am feeling much more human and ready to face the day.
This is lovely on a warm day, the sparkle of citrus really made it pop. Also helpful when you are tired!
Its been a full speed ahead sort of day, complete with tricky people, long wait times, and last minute complications.
Whew.
I have snatched a moment to fortify against the rest of the day with this cup of tea, which is refreshing and brewed strong, today. May it serve me well for the coming hours.
A moment to catch my breath, adjust my shoulders and drink a cup of tea.
I am apparently in a citrus mood today. Not a bad way to be. I pour the life-affirming brew down the ol gullet.
I need more tea filters for the office. Better stop at the store on my way home, or I shall be very unhappy come tomorrow.
Gmathis – I have heard of people making little reusable muslin drawstring bags. Amazon and English Tea Store have them, and if you have Prime you might find them with free shipping or at least as an add-on item.
And today its much, much cooler. It was even chilly this morning. Getting dressed these days is an exercise in layers.
Well, at least I have a nicely warming cup of tea.
I’m only just coming to Earl Greys. There was a long time when I didn’t care for them at all, but I’ve always liked a Lady Grey. I have no idea why, but her Ladyship has always agreed with me, even when his Lordship did not.
It looks like you might favor teas from Lovejoy’s Tea Room. I have noticed that name in your reviews before, so I googled it. Looks like there is one a few hours from me (hope it’s the one you seem to get some of your tea from). I am putting it on my “Things to Do This Summer” list to check out. As much as I’ve enjoyed the Harney Teas, I do want to spread my wings, so to speak, and try some other makers (just ordered a few items from Nina’s and I am hoping they are not overacted).
I figure if Lovejoy’s is one of your go to places, it must be worth a look :)
Lovejoys is really nice! They sell blends, but they also have a really fun tea room, with tasty scones if you like that sort of thing.
It is once again 100 degrees. In May. Oh the humanity.
It is also one of those days where I woke up and the day has not stopped since, flinging one thing after another at my cranium. Its been bonkers, and I, for one, will be happy to collapse at the end of the day.
And its only a Tuesday!
I did manage to hack my way far enough through my paperwork and clients to grab a cup of this, which was sweet and pleasant. It helps, having a cup of tea in hand.
Reward for completing a long and important work call was a cup of this and a biscotti. Not to dunk into the tea, just to eat along side it. I only dunk biscotti into hot chocolate. Into tea seems inappropriate, somehow.
This is a really nice work tea for my afternoons. The grapefruit is very sunny, and it serves as a lovely pep when my spirits are about to flag, as the day has been long and isn’t it over yet?
Tea is always a good remedy for that feeling.
I love going to tea rooms. Mostly it is because I love tea, and have a passion for scones bordering on madness, but also because good tea rooms often have their own blends.
I went to Lovejoys with my sister late last year, and enjoyed it hugely. The atmosphere was fun, the scones delicious, and they had several house blends.
I picked this one up, which has the novelty of being a lady grey with grapefruit as the citrus, which I found very interesting!
Brewed up its a very light tea, which will be pleasant in the afternoons.
This has made the cut to be brought in as an office tea, where I think it will do very well.
