I like this although I’ll try teas with slightly fewer calories. Honest Tea does make good products; I like their work ethic and the messages under the bottle tops. Now that I’ve successfully brewed some of my own iced tea I will stock this in case of emergency outings.
In spite of the sweetness, this is far better than other sweetened bottled teas and has less sugar.
I like Honest Tea. I like the little maxims under the top of the bottle. I like the convenience of having a source of iced tea if I cannot make some or if I need to run out of the house. I like the simple way I can sneak this in my pocketbook and get into the movie theatre with a decent drink.
Most of all, I like the way that this tea is not overly sugary. Once you try this, you can never return to bottled Lipton, Tazo, or Snapple.
The lemon taste is crisp although not overly citrusy. I can drink this without the sense that I have an IV of sugar flowing into my veins. It’s a great convenience.
Preparation
I dig almost all of Honest Tea’s bottled teas. The Mango Acai is a favorite though: it is fruity from the mango, properly sweetened to my taste, and has a little caffeine. The white tea not only has lots of antioxidants, white teas are shown in some studies to prevent fat cells in the human body from absorbing fat in food. I could use all the help I can get!
This is the first time I have tried Honest Tea Iced Tea. It sure has more GREEN TEA flavor than ANY bottled iced tea I have ever tasted. Or Jasmine for that matter. If you are looking for something different, healthy, or iced tea with a Green Tea and Jasmine KICK…try this
Nice fruity aroma but the flavor is so-so. Depending on the sip, you can get a decent splash of sweetness at the start but it quickly changes to a bitter green tea taste. There’s not much depth in the flavor and it basically tastes like the tea was over-steeped. Not great, but it is a bottled cold tea, so I guess you should expect as much.
