Nice fruit tisane! I normally don’t enjoy fruit tisanes but this one was fairly nice. I liked the watermelon and taro flavors but it’s really only good iced and I’m a hot tea girl.

Pretty nice, but not as good as I remember it being. Mainly has a maple syrup flavor because the added sugar clouds everything. I’m going to sip it down but it’s not a repurchase for me.

Sipdown! (10 | 284)

I was honestly expecting to like this one a bit more than I actually did. And I think it’s just because I expected it to be more crisp and fruity, when really it’s a bit on the desserty side and the fruit notes are somewhat subtle.

It tastes creamy, and I guess it must be from the pear flavoring? Because the only flavorings here are cranberry and pear, according to my package. Anyway, the base is smooth and quite light, and both of the fruit flavors come off as cooked fruit rather than fresh. It’s a bit like a pear pie with cranberries, I would say?

It’s tasty, just not what I expected. Also, the amount of dried fruit chunks seems excessive, and mostly serves to dilute the tea and require me to use more leaf… I guess I don’t drink much DT, so I’m not used to that.

A smooth, creamy, bold black tea with a bit of honey flavor. I guess I should listen to my friend’s recommendations. I absolutely love this one even though it is a bit pricey for me as a college student. While I love it and would accept it gladly as a Christmas gift 16 dollars for 50 grams is just not in my budget. However, I’m so happy I tried it because now I know to explore more straight black teas.

Tasted much like previous years’ “versions” (Caramel Corn?) which is to say, it’s nice and sweet and caramelly, but not particularly special. Might have some more as a nightcap tonight, since it’s caffeine-free.

drank Fortune Cookie Chai by DAVIDsTEA

Another year of logging derailed. Oh well. I’ve also barely had any tea in the last couple months, due to a vacation and then a solid month of being sick and unable to properly taste/smell. Still sick, but I really wanted some tea tonight.

Not a bad chai, not quite my preference because of the anise, but it has a nice kind of gingerbready vibe. Not a fan of the stevia, as usual, but if I have it with milk, it’s not so offputting.

A really nice, buttery milk oolong blend. I adore Milk Oolongs and I love Jasmine green tea so this was a match made in heaven. I definitely plan on grabbing more in order to keep it in my stash long-term.

DO NOT CONSUME THINGS YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO… I did ( yes kinda on purpose) but don’t do it please I don’t want anyone getting hurt.

Well, let me start this one by saying that I’m an idiot. I did not pay attention to the ingredients when I ordered this one I was just excited because I love blondies. Of course one of the most anticipated holiday blends in my cupboard has pineapple in it. It’s not that I don’t like pineapple, I recently developed an allergy to it that I never had before, I actually used to eat it every day. So when I read the ingredients I was a little sad so I made a cup for my mom and just took a little sip before taking a Benadryl. That being said, I don’t think I’m missing out, while I liked the ginger and vanilla from the tiny sip I tasted it was sickeningly sweet… However, my mom liked it so I’m going to gift it to her so it’s not wasted.

This was a weird one for me, I love David’s teas rooibos blends ( if not sweetened) but this one was oddly savory and tasted more like smokey butter than anything else. Not a keeper…

I got this blend back in July or August when all of their holiday products were on clearance because I liked the nordic mugs and I wanted to have a few seasonal blends on hand for this year. Turns out, I never checked the ingredients… This blend is full of sugar and sweeteners. Big oops! I usually don’t mind sprinkles in my tea but this blend is overkill. There are sprinkles, candied fruit, candies, and brittle in this herbal blend, so much so that I can’t taste the herbs! It may be just a me thing but this blend also had the nail polish remover/ alcohol taste that the Witches Brew had. I was so disappointed because I loved the scent of this blend but it’s just sickeningly sweet, for my own tastes, and for my PCOS this blend won’t be staying in my collection, I just have to find a home for it I’d hate to just throw it away.

This is one of the limited edition teas that was recently released by DT as part of the Garden To Cup collection. It’s very malty with a really wonderful dark raisin-y sweetness balanced by robust molasses and buckwheat honey flavours. My excitement for the other new straight black tea was so great that I initially didn’t pay this one as much mind. However, it’s really grown on me and I love that it comes from an estate that believes so strongly in sustainable tea production. It make for an excellently elevated single origin take on traditional Breakfast Blends; so good without anything added to it but still has that bold brisk flavour and pleasant astringency I crave from an early morning tea!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

Well, tastes certainly do change huh? I have to bump this score up a pretty good amount lol. I made a big pot because I recently grabbed a box of sachets because they were on clearance and I was like hmm… it has been a while since I tried it (almost a year) and wow! I really love this blend!!

I don’t know what it is, it’s perfect for me. I love spice like in chai and such but when it’s overwhelming I get headaches. This however, it perfect… the spice, pumpkin, and bergamot are all well balanced in this blend.

I can see how the spice could overwhelm the bergamot but I found that the bergamot is more noticeable when iced rather than hot. I think that my favorite way to drink this blend is hot with no additions but it’s really good iced, as a latte, and as an iced latte! I may need to grab a few more hehe…

One of my favorite pumpkin tea blends. Although I don’t have many in my stash at the moment Earl Greys are my favorites, this blend is no exception. I love that you can taste the pumpkin, spices ( especially the cardamom), and bergamot equally. It’s a well-balanced blend that I wish was available all year round.

This blend is a classic, that being said it’s not my favorite but I always end up having it in my stash anyway. I am sure that doesn’t make sense to anyone else but with so many tea newbies and non-tea drinkers in my life it’s always a staple to share with them because it’s a nice intro to tea I guess. The pumpkin flavor doesn’t really hit my tastes and it’s a bit too caramel-focused. I pretty much only enjoy it as a latte.
