I’m not really a big fan of this tea. Not really a hater either. I just don’t prefer the taste. It’s not a bad taste…just not exceptional. Having said that…I do have a box stashed away for STRESS OUT SESSIONS. Today was one of them so I am really putting it to the test. I will NOT put a thumbs down on this because – like I said – it’s not a bad taste – just not what I would go back to over and over again…it’s a tad medicine-E. BUT…hell…if it helps with my stress level I am all for it! I’m Neutral.
So strong it should be called “Blow Your Head Off With Mint”.
I definetly prefere Celestial Seasonings’ Candy Cane Lane to this, it’s a lot sweeter and milder for one thing.
Very good, but you have to plan in advance whenver you are goign to drink this because of the borderline amphetamine affect. However, if you’re constipated, one cup may help gt things moving again. I think this was the tea featured on a “Mad About You” episode.
This is a great herbal tea, and I really like it, although I admit that it does taste somewhat “medicinal”. I do like how the minty taste dances in my mouth for several seconds after each swallow, but ultimately fades to a more subdued flavor. The inclusion of B-vitamins is an added bonus!
I used to drink this tea while I read in middle school. I went through two boxes, I think, back to back, and loved it. It brews up red and tastes a little sour, but mostly like berries. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it seems to have a little bit of a lemony taste, too. It’s nice.
Preparation
My boyfriend and I finished off the box today, so I guess I’ll be waiting until Christmas time to get more.
This tea tastes like ginger but without the bite. I can also taste some cinnamon in there and it’s slightly sweet in a comforting way.
Preparation
Confession first: this isn’t Celestial Seasonings; it’s looseleaf bulk from the local herb & indie grocery, but I’m too lazy to poke through 64 pages of peppermint brands trying to find what fits.
There.
Stomach bug keeping me at home today. Much improved since 2 a.m. but need to be near the, uh, proper facilities.
But I can be under the weather just as easily sitting outside in cool sunshine as I can indoors.
Anyway, plain peppermint leaves—first thing I grabbed when I felt like I could ingest anything. Can’t beat it for tummy uglies, clogged sinuses, or other assorted miz’ries. Will contend further that there is no need to pay for anything upscale or brand name. Plain ol’ Cheapster Steepster peppermint leaves, steeped strong—-keep some in your medicine cabinet. Cold and flu season coming.
Taking medicinally for phlegm-digestion.
Hee, the word phlegm always makes me think of Calvin & Hobbes. And even though it means something gross, there’s something that I like about that sly silent g.
It’s cozy; a good sloppy, bag-in steeper; and my hands were cold. This isn’t a sleep-inducer for me, but it’s soothing and calming and I was too tired to make anything that required conscious thought.
Three workdays in a row like to killed me this week; a regular Monday-Friday schedule next week may just do me in ;)
Been a long while since I’ve had a cup of this’n. It’s chief appeal after a weary week is the lack of care it requires. Toss it in, leave the bag as long as you want, it’s all lemony-mint comfort. I could take a bath in it. Actually…hmmm….how many bags to a bathtub? :)
