I followed Tea4Me’s instructions and steeped for just one minute. It has a light, delicate flavor that doesn’t need much sugar. I could taste both the pear and the vanilla. I’m going to be enjoying this very much this spring. =)
It says on the box not to get the water to boiling and to only steep for 2 minutes. Surely the only reason this tea is being rated as bitter is because it’s being steeped too long. I’m used to steeping my teas for more than five minutes, so I wasn’t expecting much with only a minute, but it really is enough time. The tea isn’t meant to be strong anyway.
Preparation
I love this tea. It is the perfect before bed blend. I’m a big sucker for mint and this is the perfect fix without being too strong. As the other reviewers have been saying, it’s ideal for winding down, especially if you’re sipping it in bed while reading a book.
Preparation
I’ll start off by saying that this is a Celestial Seasonings tea that I buy regularly and drink often. So naturally, I find it very enjoyable.
I usually drink this in the mornings when I need a little energy. It never jolts or makes me feel dehydrated the way that coffee sometimes does. The flavor is incredibly mellow and earthy, just like the reassuring little buffalo on the box. I prefer it with a splash of milk (and maybe a pinch of sugar if I really want to go nuts), but it’s alright without. It’s not the highest quality of black tea or mate, but for the price and convenience it’s hard to do better.
I’m just a little afraid of this. I’ve had chamomile tea in a bag before, but the loose tea was just too much. I’ve decided that I need to taste the rest of the tea in my possession, so I thought I would try it again in the bag.
The smell of the tea bags is like the loose tea, but not nearly as strong. I’m brewing this in my three cup pot.
First cup: A lovely, almost golden color. The smell is sweet, unlike the loose tea. Starting to feel a little better about this. First sip — can taste the vegetation but it’s not nearly as intense.
Second cup: Pretty much as the first. I wish I had brought the honey with me, but I usually don’t put honey in my chamomile. For some reason, I feel overly sensitive to the taste. I keep expecting to take a sip and get that horrible cabbage like taste I got from the loose chamomile flowers. I’m not sure why, but I do.
There will be no third cup. I used to like chamomile just on its own, but not anymore. Especially, since I usually find something far more tasty and exciting in my tea cup nowadays.
Preparation
I think this is the kind of tea you either love or hate. Some people have commented that was too strong. For starters, no one should be buying Celestial Seasonings if they don’t like their tea strong! I found the tea enjoyable, though I may steep it a little less next time. Maybe it’s because my taste buds are so adapted to chai tea that spices aren’t as overwhelming as they once were. Simply put, this is a tea for people who like strong spicy teas. It wasn’t as good as other teas I’ve had, but it certainly wasn’t as bad as I feared from some of the comments here.
Preparation
Had an opportunity to try this tea this weekend. I decided to steep it in hot milk to make kind of a gingerbread latte. It wasn’t very strong but that was probably due to the milk. I was definitely getting a gingerbread flavor! It was nice a warming on a chilly February afternoon.
Preparation
While I never tried Sleepytime and Sleepytime Extra side-by-side the taste difference is minimal as it does not come off as any difference in the cup. But watch out as a single cup of Sleeptime Extra is much quicker acting than two cups of Sleeptime, so I would only recommend drinking this if you are ready to go to sleep very soon.
Preparation
Celestial Seasonings is a brand that I am never exactly wowed by, but it’s also hard to be disappointed by a bagged tea that you bought for three bucks at a supermarket chain. You know exactly what you’re getting into.
In this case, I would call it pretty enjoyably over all. Heavy on the chamomile and very sweet, but also incredibly soothing on a sore throat or a stressed mind. It’s a good evening tea to unwind with when you don’t want to break the budget.
Picked another box of this at my local grocery store. I really enjoy drinking
this after a meal, the peppermint comes through first followed by a creaminess that is very satisfying.
So I bought this to complete my Celestial Holiday Tea Collection.
Teabag smelled great but it warned me that it was going to be a quite sweet tea.
Readybrew was an utter disappointment, if this is what sugarcookies taste like I most certainly dont like them!
Cant remember what it tasted like and im not up for brewing me a cup to find an appropriate description, but I can say this much: gross.
