518 Tasting Notes
I got some sample sizes of the oolongs from Arbor Teas and decided to start with this one. I did it in my gaiwan, short and quick infusions.
It’s got decent flavor. It’s not outstanding, but it’s nice. The price isn’t bad, but I think there are Bao Zhongs that I like better.
Preparation
I had a small sample of this tea, 4g, and I’m really not sure whom I got it from as all my samples were mixed together. Sorry!!!
Anyway, this tea is really good.
First sip, I immediately thought honey. Then it got a little fruity. It’s pretty sweet. A little orchid. Lots of honey goodness. And it keeps on giving.
very sad sipdown
And since it’s the end of the packet, it seems to have quite a few broken leaves in it, all from my mishandling of it. My own fault.
It still tastes delicious, though.
And I still apparently haven’t written a good note for this tea. So I’ll have to rectify that today.
A touch floral, somewhat fruity, creamy….no, this is more buttery than creamy. But Oh Emm Gee delicious.
I really, really like this tea.
I got this sample from someone, but I don’t remember whom. Sorry. All of my samples got all mixed up by my well meaning spouse. He was just trying to help. Unfortunately, I don’t know who sent what anymore.
On to the tea.
Sweet and floral, light, kinda buttery. Delicious. Very delicious.
Thank you so much Angel for this free sample. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get to the review.
This is a nice, very lightly roasted oolong. The floral notes are still very present but not overwhelming, and just the right amount of roasty. Not quite sweet, but really flavorful. It lasted through several infusions Western Style.
I really enjoyed this.

This is nice. It’s still a pretty green oolong, but with a touch of roasty feel to it. Creamy. Tasty.
The leaves are beautiful as they unfurl.
