94 Tasting Notes
The smell is a little misleading – it smells like a key lime pie! In the blend, the lemongrass really overwhelms any other flavour trying to poke through, though. Maybe I just got a lot of lemongrass in my scoop but I was looking forward to the citrus in this and it didn’t quite deliver – still a good cup though. Any tea with echinacea in it can’t be bad!!
The smell of this one is SO GOOD. Like a mocha chocolate coffee cake or something. I was looking forward to trying this one all day, and then when I brewed it – SALTY. Smelled like broth. Kinda looked like broth. Definitely disappointing. I’ll steep again, maybe I got a dud cup? Blech.
Definitely not a fan of Alpine Punch hot – cold is much, much better. The coconut doesn’t mesh with the punch – at least not for my tastebuds. I’ve heard this is ridiculously popular so I guess I’m the odd one out… doubt I’ll buy again but I’ll enjoy what’s left in the bag.
I bought 40g of this based on the smell – my gamble paid off, this is great! A “sometimes” tea due to the sugar content but it makes a great dessert tea. The artificial taste is super strong if you steep it too much but it’s still a good cup if you like this type of tea – sweet, chocolatey, and I can barely taste the rooibos base. If you’re a purist this will not be your favourite.
Reminds me of bananas and Nesquick chocolate syrup more than a banana split – that was a staple dessert growing up! Between this and Hard Candy, David’s is reminding me of childhood this summer!
Uhhh. So much sugar it goes foggy. It kinda freaked me out. Drank hot and I had to dump it out – the colour is really not appealing and the taste isn’t much better. Iced was better but still – way too much sugar (obviously. I’m not sure what I was expecting). Staying away from this one in the future!
I definitely didn’t give this one as much leaf as I should have so it seemed weak. I loved the notes I got in the flavour though so I can’t wait for a full-strength brew. The super-sweet fruity flavour reminds me of going and buying candy at the rec center as a kid.
