This is actually one of the best chamomile (TIL it can also be spelled Camomile as it is spelled on the box) teas I’ve ever had.
For some off reason, the cheapest grocery store value-price chamomile tastes the best to me. So now, I just buy 3-crown brand, the cheapest one available ($2 CAD or $1.51 USD for 20 teabags.)
This tea is great. You can’t mess up the steep time (personally, I start drinking after 2 minutes but leave the teabag in and just keep adding hot water). It does very well in blends (try one teabag of this chamomile with one teabag of mint!) and it’s great with some honey. I’ve used it to make iced tea before also, and it is plenty flavourful because it resteeps 2 times.
As with any cheap bagged chamomile tea, this tastes like warm, dry grass, dried flowers, pollen, and has the typical lemon/pepper flavour of chamomile blossoms. Another things to mention is that this is not vegetal at all like fresh chamomile can be. I intend to buy some chamomile flower plants for my herb garden some day, but I very much prefer this bagged tea. So sue me.
