drank Sweet Almond Green by DAVIDsTEA
2986 tasting notes

I am not going to rate this tea because I do not like marzipan and I feel like it would be unfairly low. That being said, I thought this tea had a strong nutty marzipan taste, over top of a mild green tea base. There is nothing artificial or “off” about the flavour, and I think all the undertones go really well together.

I highly recommend this tea to those who enjoy almonds and marzipan desserts because I do think this is a great blend. I expect I would have given this tea a very high score if it weren’t for personal bias. The sweetness is obvious, like what you would expect from blackberry leaves or an almond itself. This would make an amazing latte for those who take their teas with milk. The tea is also really strong so you only have to brew for 3 minutes. You can, however, keep the teabag in a bit longer.

Flavors: Almond, Marzipan, Nutty, Sweet

Bio

I am a biochem major hoping for a career in research genetics and evolutionary biology. I love science fiction and spend too much of my time reading comic books. I’m a passionate keeper of spiders, cacti, and exotic plants. I eat a vegan, plant-based diet for moral and environmental reasons (I mention this only because it is relevant to which flavoured teas I drink).

I drink mostly flavoured and low caffeine teas/tisanes, but I will try anything twice. As far as pure teas go, I gravitate towards whites, yellows, and jade oolongs. I’m always open for trades and sample sales/exchanges. Message me any time :)

My cupboard is mostly up to date. For a more comprehensive list, see my stash spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-HjWKR3um-xEnj6HC9vMvKXOAyj_bpW5u_2ixEC20-k/edit?usp=sharing
