So I’m drinking this tea right now because as soon as I opened the storage tin I was hit by the smell of sweet jasmine blossoms, and I felt compelled to make it.
It steeps very light yellow, but it smells very floral and fresh when it is ready. I really enjoy having a tea that doesn’t steep bitter or astringent like so many do. The white tea taste is very mild, but I think it goes really well with the delicate jasmine. The floral taste is strong, but it isn’t overpowering. I always expect white and green teas to be grassy or herbaceous, but this tea isn’t like that at all.
BONUS: This tea re-steeps very well. I usually go for 3-4 steeps before I get bored of one flavour of tea, but you could do more if you wanted to.
I brewed this cup hot, which I recommend for others. It isn’t strong enough to be an iced tea and I think the white tea taste might get lost after it cools. I wouldn’t recommend adding sweetener or milk, but if you do, consider adding half the amount you usually do.
