630 Tasting Notes
This is disgusting. I got it after hearing how great it was last year, and had high hopes. I took my first sip and was alarmed at how much like cookies it tasted. Then, halfway through my big mug I was feeling slightly sick to my stomach at the sickly sweet scent and all I could taste was artificial flavoring. Huge disappointment, but I know so many people who love it, the rest of my box will be rehomed.
Preparation
I need more tea like a hole in the head but I found myself unable to resist when I saw this at Target. I have some tea bags of varying qualities, and I usually save them for when I am doing house sitting gigs and want to keep my tea as simple as possible.
But, this tea might convince me to invest in good sachet bags more often. It is a bit citrussy but basically cinnamon overload which is exactly how I like it. Red hots in a tea. I see lots more of this in my future, and the awesome tin is a bonus.
Preparation
I was surprised at how good this is. I am not sure why – I have found that when no actual tea leaves are involved, this brand has some interesting flavor combos to offer. It is very fruity and very cinnamony and if you let it steep long enough, it gets sweet too. No sugar needed. A good caffeine free, cheap option.
Preparation
If you like super strong flavor, this is really for you. I knew going in that I wouldn’t like it without a bit of milk to smooth it out, and I am glad I did. The tea flavor wasn’t compromised at all by the milk, it was so bold, and it was a great wake me up this morning. This kind of tea isn’t one I would purchase on my own, but I am happy to drink up samples and such, but I recommend it for people who are into a strong morning wake-up.
Preparation
I realized today that I really haven’t had much in the way of English Breakfast tea before. I realized this as I was trying to think of what to compare this to, and failed. It seems tasty enough – it was bold but not too overwhelming, and would have tasted better with some milk (but I usually try teas for the first time without add ins unless it is chai). A solid choice for sure, but not a personal staple.
Preparation
This is pretty good but I have to say, I can’t taste the orange or pineapple specifically when it is cold. It does taste distinctly tropical, but the tea is the primary flavor and the flavoring an afterthought kind of taste. Some would like that, but it isn’t the best for iced tea. Will consider changing the rating once I have had a hot cup.
Preparation
This is really good – I steeped it for a little more than two minutes on accident, and I was concerned it would get bitter, but it didn’t. I don’t have a ton to say, as it is just a “wild berry” flavor, which I felt was accurate enough, and the flavor was strong and tasty. I would definitely recommend it.
Preparation
This tastes good, but iced, I don’t taste much in the way of passion fruit OR banana. It is kind of sad actually, particularly because I adore passion fruit. Still tasty, but wouldn’t recommend it given the flavor it is supposed to be.
Preparation
This is pretty tasty if you are looking for something that is reminiscent of milk oolong, but is artificially flavored. I am unsure about the description of this one, insisting it meets milk at some point in the process, but all of my research points to this not really being how milk oolong is made. So far, the teas I have had have spoiled me, and the flavored stuff is tasty and comforting, but not blowing me out of the water. And out of the few artificially flavored ones I have tried, this one is not the best. However, this company has great deals, so it might be worth a sip at some point.
Preparation
I am amazed, but this smells exactly like root beer if root beer were hot. I don’t think I would necessarily make this cold unless I sweetened it, because the lack of fizzy and sweet upon sniffing something so similar might confuse and shock my poor brain. The flavor isn’t quite as spot on as the scent, but very very close. This one is a must sniff, if not a must sip.
