3 Tasting Notes
I thought this was going to be berry flavoured, but I was wrong. It tastes just like a macadamia nut cookie to me. Just like a mellow, buttery, delicious white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie…… oohhhh yes, yes, yes. However, the only reason I brought this tea home was because I got a free to-go mug from one of the staff. The smell of the dry leaves really didn’t appeal to me at the time. They smell kind of like vanilla rum. So I just paid for my pumpkin chai, forever nuts, and the skinny and got out of there. However, I had only walked a few hundred metres before I took a few sips, and turned right around and bought some to take home. It tastes nothing like it smells.
Preparation
So far, this is my go-to dessert tea of choice after a savoury meal. I add a little bit of german rock sugar (Teavana) to it. The taste is apple-y and cinnamon-y, but I’m not sure if I can taste the nuts too much. I suppose it does taste a bit like the mini-doughnuts that you can get at festivals. The taste is powerful and juicy, almost more like you’ve added juice crystals to a hot cup rather than tea. Those who don’t stray far from traditional teas won’t like this probably, but I love it!
