[Spring 2021 harvest]
This tea is sufficient to satisfy a craving for a Yunnanese purple black tea, but it is not the most complex among those.
From sniffing the dry leaves, I get the impression of cranberries, dead wood in a forest, and eucalyptus. Then the wet leaf aroma is a mix of cherries and brioche with a hint of menthol to it.
The taste is bitter and woody with flavours of vanilla, roasted lemons and a long-lasting sweet and cooling aftertaste. Liquor texture is colloidal and not particularly memorable.
