146 Tasting Notes
I recently found this tea where it had been forgotten for some time; fortunately it was in a Teavana zippered pouch. I’m drinking it as I write. It’s light, vegetal, grassy, and very refined. Even though it’s a few years old, it has held up well. And no artificial or “natural” flavorings in this one; just pure green tea. Lovely.
Flavors: Grass, Green, Vegetal
My husband found an envelope of this tucked away in the back of a cabinet. There was enough left for one cup of tea. This used to be my favorite of the Teavana black teas; I have moved on since that time. Now the black tea tastes a bit substandard (I now drink a lot of Rishi pu-erh) and the bergamot is light. Of course, this is a FINAL sip-down and the tea is old, even though it was in a zipper pouch. It’s really too bad Starbucks killed those stores.
Flavors: Bergamot, Dust
I am drinking Earl Grey Cream from Spice and Tea Exchange right now. It’s pretty yummy! I miss the smell of Teavana, all the teaware to look at, and the milk oolong that was always sitting on the warmer near the front.
Wonderful aroma and a solidly good flavor when steeped. Yes, you definitely can smell and taste the saffron! This tea is not too expensive so I was pleasantly surprised. Better than another much more expensive saffron-green that hypes that it is from a small business and helps people in Afghanistan. This tea is just solidly what it says it is.
Flavors: Saffron
Love this tea! Drank 2 cups every morning until I ran out. The advertising is that the flavor has complex layers of cacao, raisin, and black cherry. It does! Finally a tea that tastes precisely as it should. This tea is rich and sophisticated, and if I can’t get another bag, I’ll cry.
Flavors: Cacao, Raisins
This is a good-tasting detox tea. I polished off the box over the last week as I have one of those killer Summer colds; there is no part of me that is not infected and does not ache! I honestly think this helped move the virus along. I normally take supplements including mushrooms so I was shocked at the severity of this virus…but the tea actually seemed to help. I was drinking one-two cups per day.
Flavors: Spearmint
