People here and my family have a long tradition of drinking Anxi Tie Guan Yin ,one major Oolong branch in our nearby province,Fujian. For a long time I don’t fancy it very much, for its sharpness and greenness in extreme density(which brings out some hidden bitterness and smokiness as well), whereas there are some very good orchid、floral and crystal-clear nature in it .Of course I had some great time with Tie Guan Yin before when it’s lighter-bodied ,but not very often.
Yesterday as I arrived home,I found this one out, steeped some loose tea in luke-warm water with rose buds and 2 dried lychee for a few hours with 1L of water, and it turned out quite delightful. The tea became lighter、pleasant kind of green ,with a moderately sweet and fresh aftertaste. I think I may have found a personally better approach to preparing this tea finally.
