431 Tasting Notes
This was my free tea of the day since I am still Mayor of TeaGschwendner. It is creamy, rich, smooth, and has a buttery nutty flavor. I think this makes for a great tea in winter, it would warm you up and make you feel nice and cozy. Delicious, I will have to buy this one. I also think it will be great iced but would have to try it first.
Preparation
Sorry, I am Mayor of my local store on FourSquare and the promotion is that as long as I am still mayor I get s free 20oz drink Free everyday. Fun stuff. The best part is I pass it everyday go to and from the gym.
WHAT!? Cool for you…but not for me…I miss out on all these cool promotions not having anything in my rural area! LOL
Sorry TeaEqualsBliss, tell ya what if you’re ever in my neck of the woods I will take you to all the cool places.
Rachel, here are all the cool places in our neck of the woods now that TG is shuttered? Oh, the angst of being marooned in the strip-mall wasteland of suburbia!
The lack of TG does make it difficult but if we are talking all of Chicago land which normally when I have out of state visitors I do. I would go to TG in the city, Argo in the theatre district downtown, see if we can get into a tasting at CTG, Adagio in Naperville. I still have to make it to Skokie. There is a cute restaurant that serves Stash and other teas in Genoa. I wish I knew more places but most of my tea drinking goes down at my house.
This is a very tasty tea. Not your typical chocolate and cream blends. The flavors are very well balanced. It is very smooth, creamy, and chocolatey. None of the flavors are overwhelming, basically I feel like the chocolate and cream have bonded into one ingredient. It is weird, but in a good way. We should call this Chococreme Tea. I really can’t put this one in words. You just have to try but what I can tell you is that it is VERY GOOD!
Preparation
First one to review this one. Yay!
This was not over the top immediately after the steep but as it cooled you got a very creamy and nutty taste in your mouth. I suspect this tea would be great iced and I will have to try it that way some time. I will say at the end of the sip there was a very unique flavor that was only detected when it cooled. I feel like there was a good memory attached to that flavor but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. I guess I will have to keep drinking it until I figure it out.
Preparation
This is my first milk oolong and I can tell this will be the first of more to come. It is amazing and delicious. It is sweet, creamy but not in a rich sort of way, just smooth. I allowed it to cool and it just got sweeter and happier. I can tell this will be the start of a beautiful relationship.
Thank you, thepuriTea for this sample.
Preparation
I found this to be okay. It is unusually naturally sweet and I can’t get past the strange flavor. Behind it I can taste that it is flowery. I think I need to try this again.
BTW, this was one of the garage sale finds at 50 cents for a brand new tin.
Preparation
First reaction – “Ahh Gross!” The two flavors don’t go well together. Few points for mint. End of story.
