Thanks TeaEqualsBliss for this tea!

I enjoyed this tea however, I don’t think I used enough of it. Based on how it turned out it felt there wasn’t enough flavor and I don’t think I can judge based on my steeping. However, I did see the potential in this tea. If I made it correctly I feel it would have been amazing. I will try again later.

First “Thanks” TeaEqualsBliss for sending me so many wonderful tea samples.

I really enjoyed this tea. I taste the earthiness of the Puerh first and at the back end the sweet and creaminess of the strawberry. I delicious tea will have to try iced.

Great tea…Can’t wait to try the rest of my samples.

Let me set the scene. It is a gloomy rainy day. The house has fallen dark even with the occasional curtain open to allow what little light that may actually enter. I sit here quietly reading with my dear husband tinkering up the office and my 3 year old daughter taking a much needed nap all alone in the quit of my thoughts in my living room. All I can hear is the dull sound of rain passing through the video montior setup up in my daughters room. Then it dawns on me this is the perfect chance to have this tea. It smells of excitement, spice, and allure. Perhaps the perfect choice on a rainy day in Chicago. Here are my thoughts…

First, a strong sensation of “Red Hots” I was worried but then I take a sip it was a flavor explosion, this rooibos blend is not to be messed with. It is loud and in-charge. It is sophisticated. I had the urge to raise a pinky. Who am I kidding I raised my pinky. The “orange” is in my opinion the magic ingredient, simply brilliant. It keeps the cinnamon and cloves from fighting to the death and creates a controlled experience. It is like “Xanax” for teas. It let’s out just enough of it’s wild and bold character without being obnoxious and as a result a wonderful warm tea for gloomy days and cold days too.

Backlogged….What a great find this one happened to be. My neighborhood is having a village wide garage sale and to my surprise I found 4 different teas, never been opened by Mariage Freres for just 50 cents each. I could hardy contain myself. As it turns out the wife bought these tins to display the tins and not for the tea itself and then never did anything with them so I was the lucky one who got to drink them and this is 1 of 4.

It is a delicious tea with clean fruit and floral flavors. It tasted wonderfully balanced hot and as it cooled off I can tell it would be yummy iced but I will have to make it officially to be sure.

What a great find so glad I went.

Thanks again LiberTeas for the chance to try this tea. Unfortunately, I really didn’t like this one too much. I did taste the orange but still the combinations in this tea just wasn’t for me. Oh well, ya never know unless you try.

Thank you LiberTeas for this tea sample I was very excited to try it against my Sweet Velvet Fog Signature Blend. It is rather close in flavor but I felt SVF is a little smoother, more caramel in flavor, and a bit richer but don’t get me wrong it is still very good. Just goes to show that it isn’t just about what teas are used in the blending but the percentage too.

Wow, this tea is creamy and delicious. I can taste the pineapple and coconut lightly and they are balanced very well. I don’t taste the rose but maybe I am not supposed to. Perhaps it is a binder of agents and helps to create that creamy taste. Next, time I will try it with sweetener too.

Unfortunately, I have had the same similar reaction to this tea as the other reviewers. It was AMAZING in the package, smelled heavenly. However, once prepared I tasted the chocolate, rooibos, and another flavor I can’t describe but I can say it was not Tiramisu and it no longer smelled as it did when it was dry. I can just say it was ok. However, I agree with Morgana I prefer the rooibos in the background and the flavors to be the major players in these type of rooibos drinks.

I didn’t get a strong vanilla flavor nor a cheesecake feel. It was there but I had to really concentrate. I usually prefer keeping my thoughts at a minimum while drinking tea. However, if it was labeled with a different name say… Creamy Smooth Chai I would have agreed. Don’t get me wrong this tea is yummy but not what I expected based on the name on the label. It is has a medium/light body, super smooth, not a hint of bitterness, and just mellow. The chai spices are blended perfectly. However, I am giving it a lower point value only because it wasn’t what I expected based on the label not because of the flavor, it was good.

Oh don’t be sad….it may work for you. Maybe my taste buds were lying to me. I will try again next week and see what happens.
