I had this last night before bed. It was a really nice cup! I wasn’t transported like I was with Elder Grove, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. It was woodsy and earthy, with the tiniest whisper of mint. I am also sort of mesmerized by looking at the Whispering Pines mixes, since they are so different than other herbal blends. So many interesting things in there. Lots of berries – I didn’t recognize them as elderberries since I haven’t had much exposure to those, but there were lots of them in there. Little woodsy pieces, it’s just really interesting to see.

It might have just been the calming properties of the tea, or a coincidence, but I crashed hard right after this. I was OUT.

Bio

Mom of two practically grown girls, extremely happily married to a man who is amused by my obsession with tea, and company owner who works from home. Life is good.

Likes/dislikes: I love black teas, especially strong/malty ones. I am ok with flavored teas if the base is strong. I like some whites. I really don’t like any tea that tastes “green” – if I wanted to drink something that tastes like green beans, I would cook some green beans. I am not big on green teas or genmaichas. I am learning to like puerhs.

If we are trading, I have a STRONG aversion to coconut, banana and licorice. I love citrus, vanilla and spice. Not a fan of florals.
