I like this one! I remember buying the DavidsTea Peanut Butter Cup tea years ago and being a little disappointed. That one was nuttier even with sweetener added. This one actually is sweet enough and dessert-like on its own that it does remind me of a peanut butter cup with or without milk. I am currently out of tea compatible milk so this particular cup I am drinking plain. The apple in this tea works really well.

April Sipdown Alphabet Challenge: “W” Tea
I’ll be happy when my box of this one is gone. I just don’t really care for it. It has kind of an artificial taste to it and the strong cardamom taste isn’t pleasant here. When I think of a white chocolate tea or even a peppermint bark-inspired tea this is not what I think of. I love Republic Of Tea’s Peppermint Bark tea but that one is a lot pricier than this box of CS tea of course.

National Superhero Day Tea!
I don’t watch marvel movies or shows with the exception of Jessica Jones which I loved. I chose this one because it’s described as a “strong” black tea with “Bourbon”. (I actually thought Golden Arrow would work for Jessica Jones in terms of her office and desk with the mahogany. I also thought Black Metallic would work as well with the purple flowers and elderberry for Violet from The Incredibles.)I’ve never had Bourbon before so I can’t comment on if this tastes like it or not. I realized that I actually have had this tea before and just had forgotten since there was no tasting note on it. It’s quite smoky and does have a kind of burnt flavor that’s left on your tongue and isn’t pleasant. I’m not liking this one so far but maybe I just need to brew it at a lower temperature next time. I love Golden Arrow and thought this one might be similar but it’s just not working for me. Maybe this one does better with milk.

This one was ok, it reminded me of cocoa shells in flavor. Chocolate with a sort of fruity undertone that dark chocolate usually has. I would have never identified it as cranberry though. The tea had a bit of an oil slick on top as is common with teas that include chocolate chips. I don’t really remember much else about it other than it’s not one I feel the need to repurchase. Glad I got the chance to try it though!
Preparation
I made this tea for class this morning and added banana almond milk thinking the flavors might go really well together. It’s kind of bland actually minus the black tea base that I can taste. I definitely think it takes soymilk better than this. Also, I totally forgot that I don’t have class, after all, today since it’s an Inservice day so that’s a bummer that I didn’t just sleep in. Good thing my class isn’t on campus though so no mistaken commute.

April Sipdown Alphabet Challenge: “V” Tea
Short tasting note on this one since I’ve already written one on this tea. It’s a nice basic black tea that takes milk well. There is a bit of a flavored sugar taste as well but it just adds sweetness mostly. For a Valentine’s Day blend it’s a little bit disappointing.

April Sipdown Alphabet Challenge: “U” Tea

I’ve been saving the rest of this sample since I knew it was my only U tea option for this challenge. I’m drinking this while planning my 2021 Popsugar Reading Challenge booklist. I’m definitely late in starting but to be honest I wasn’t sure I was going to have time this year to participate.
I’m drinking this hot
This tea is definitely sweet and fruity! The pineapple I can specifically pick out and with the sweetness from the marshmallow, it’s really reminding me of Pineapple Fluff. My grandmother used to make that vintage dessert pretty often growing up. I never was a fan but here in tea form, I am! The rest of the ingredients pretty much just blend together. The ginger adds a slight warmth and some flavor to the cup but it’s almost undetectable. This is one that I would probably repurchase if I ever made an order.

April Sipdown Alphabet Challenge: “T” Tea
I don’t love this one as much as others seem to, so I decided to make a small pot of it to drink while working on my Women’s Studies class analysis of the movie “American Violet”. The house has been really cold today so I’ve had to take quite a few breaks to make cups of tea to warm me up. I think I just am left wanting either a stronger apple flavor from this tea or more grassiness. In General, I prefer plain green teas but I do like flavored greens as well just this one, in particular, seems a little short on flavor.
