1324 Tasting Notes
I was kindly sent this tea to review.
I made two separate cups one steeped at 3 minutes and the other for only 2 minutes.
The 3 minute steep was strong and jasmine heavy with a syrupy nectar taste and feel to it. I was reminded of Honeysuckle because it was very sweet. It’s a delicious jasmine tea one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s very elegant and I could see this being a good candidate to serve at a tea party.
The two minute steep cup was very light in flavor and a bit too light for my taste. It tastes sweet with a slight honeysuckle flavor. It’s still pleasant but it’s lacking the depth of the prior steep and I would guess that my perfect steep time would be around 2 and 1/2 minutes. Somewhere in between the two cups. I realized I brewed this in the teapot that doesn’t pour very evenly and I forgot to stir it before pouring. When steeped right the jasmine in this tea comes across as fresh jasmine flowers as opposed to floral perfume.

I used the majority of this pouch making iced tea for today. It’s a really nice tasting iced black tea with some depth to it. Although I do think the prickly pear fruit notes come through much more when it is made hot. I was definitely not expecting this to be as good of an iced tea as it was. I would recommend adding some lemon or fruit to it if you are making this one cold.
I have a Mental Health Crisis training all day over Zoom. It’s like 12 hours or so. So i’ve been drinking lots of tea. This tea has a nice tart citrus flavor although I don’t think I would be able to identify it as peach. It definitely is quite citrusy and specifically I taste a lot of lemon. It’s tangy and enjoyable but I am bummed because I love peach teas. I’ve also been craving peach tea for the past few days. Persimmon is listed in the ingredients but I have no clue what that tastes like. So I can’t say if that is coming through or not.

Honestly, at first read I thought you meant you had a mental health crisis because of all day Zoom training and I was going to say, “Boy, I feel you!” Not a fan of Zoom. Glad you had tea by your side.
